... appreciated !
as some of you know i've been logging my dreams since dec. of 2010 and am up to 184 pages worth now.
some of them have been disturbing dreams dealing with jw expereiences as i was a jw from birth until age 44 when i exited 9 years ago.
Since leaving the JWs, I have had many dreams about my old life, none of them good, all of them weird.
Most times, I am in the kingdom hall and the "friends" are ignoring me. In my dream, they know my status and turn their heads away when we make eye contact.
Some dreams I am still an active but doubting dub in good standing and I'm asked to give talks. I end up not giving them because I don't believe what they have to say.

as a born in, or in at a very young age, what were your worst memories as a young jw child?.
i remember not being allowed to go to sleep in the meetings when i was tired.
not being allowed to do lots of things at school other kids could do.
Where do I start?
Boring three day assemblies. Sitting in Twickingham stadium on a roasting hot day listening to mind numbing symposiums.
Friday night school and service meetings
Having no friends in the kingdom hall and not allowed to have non JW friends
Being afraid that Jehovah would destroy me at Armageddon because I didn't enjoy the ministry
Not being able to go on a school camping trip
Us vs them mentality
Having to leave the assembly hall when prayers were said
The relentless bullying at school. Being called jovah witness.
Hoping there were no classmates living in the territory we worked
Long coach rides to hayesbridge assembly hall.
I grew up socially awkward and weird. I did get asked out by girls but always turned them down. One girl was persistent at work. I felt so bad.
You grow up being tuned into negative news and I worried about what would happen during the great tribulation. I often had bad dreams about this.
Studying the chapters on sex in the "your youth" book with my mother and eventually the "young people ask" book
Always being told to do more, more, more

My take on NDEs is this:
Our consciousness is separate from our body but is connected to it by an invisible umbilical cord. At the moment of passing, the cord is severed. I do believe in life after death.
i have posted this experience of mine before- it's time to resurrect it again.. in 1999 i was in bed asleep and i had a dream- my father and i were shoping at a clothing store called fazios, that i hadn't been inside since i was a boy (closed for many years).
we were looking at some denim overhalls and in walks my mother and brother ( she died in 1991 and my brother had died five months previously).
they told my dad, it's time to go.
Moshe,
Thanks for sharing, it was very interesting.
I believe the spirit world exists.

"in the resurrection neither do men marry nor are women given in marriage, but are as angels in heaven.
" (mathew 22:30).
also, what about their offspring?
Consider too, the scripture that says, "he will satisfy the desire of every living thing"
If 20 billion people are to be resurrected to a future Paradise Earth, how will they not desire to get married and have children? They wouldn't be human, but rather some peculiar reincarnation of their former self and missing their gender specific anatomy.
I believe we go to heaven when we die and we keep our personality and the thought expressions associated with our gender assigned at conception - the difference is we won't have the feelings to procreate - love, however, is another matter.
...sucks.
(warning: this could get lengthy but i have to vent and i could really use some advice).
i know ttatt and have known about it for almost 2 years, yet i'm still stuck inside.
Oneday, I know how you feel, I've been there.
Option 1 is the best option, it will allow you time to save.
I don't know how old you are, but I would suggest finishing high school/college, get a job, get your license and save up money.
Make sure you have enough for security deposit and month's rent and some over for bills, plus save up for a car.
It will take a while, but it will be worth it in the long run.
You need to look at what you want as a long term goal and work towards it.
some of you will have noticed that i've been paying a lot of attention to the governing body recently.
this is because most jehovah's witnesses venerate them collectively (even if they can't name them individually), and i feel this makes it important to understand this group of men properly and expose their mindset as individuals.
as the saying goes, i feel it's important to "know your enemy".. i realize it's very convenient to think of the governing body as being "evil" when we consider that they are ultimately responsible for all the damaging jw teachings and beliefs.
I believe that there is a certain maelovelence about them - they KNOW all the ISSUES that apostates and "disgruntled ones" have with their doctrine.
Yes, they preach and teach a lie because it suits them to do so and woe betide anyone who doubts. This in itself makes them evil.
because i was raised a witness, i don't think i was "uncomfortable" knocking on strangers' doors.
(weirdo).. but as i got older, i simply didn't want to bother anyone so i was at there door for no more than 30 seconds.
at the end i hated being there..
I hated it with a passion.
We didn't do door to door till I was about 15, my parents were not spiritually strong.
An elder took an interest in me and trained me. I never enjoyed the "life saving work", I was always afraid of knocking on my classmate's door.
I actually did once but he wasn't in.
Towards the end, I pretended to ring the door bell or knock softly.
