Starscream, please go away you are hijacking my topic. I have posted a message on the other topic so you dont need to post on this one any more.
I would address your statement but I have been told off once already.
if i were to believe in the bible (which i am starting to totally disbelieve), i like the idea that satan was actually on mans side, and when you look at what he told eve he was actually telling the truth, it was god who lied.
this used to cross my mind as a witness but i would very swiftly dismiss it as demons affecting my thinking.
didn't he say we could rule ourselves if given a fair chance?

hi all.. there was an interesting thread a while back that i have a few things to add to.
i am new so i didn't know if anyone would see a post i would put there since the thread happened a few months ago.
it is going to take a while to put all my thoughts on the subject.
Since he did not believe in God, (he was a Darwinist) he was free to do what he wanted
I don't think that can be established so easily. Hitler was influenced by many things. He was a Catholic. Germany also had a lot of Aryan mysticism at the time too. The Nazis had a lot of Dogma, the SS especially, that basically told the German (Aryan) race were the Original Atlantians (from outer space of course). It was their destiny to rebuild Atlantis and the perfect Aryan race and then dominate the sub-races.
Hitler probably believed in God. The Nazis also tried to fulfill prophecy themselves. They were interested in Nostrodomus' prophecies concerning their rise to power and made special propaganda films based on it. The irony is they never finished reading the prophecy they were so keen on fulfilling. It was obvious that they lost in the prophecy.
As a direct result of Satan trying to nullify prophesy, Israel was restored as a nation
This is a major recurring theme. God usually doesn't have to do anything. It is usually his opposers that unwittingly help him out the most. Who can possibly believe that God could lose in a battle of witts with the devil or anyone?
The problem with everyone being free to do as he pleases is that not everyone wants the same things. Therefore, Satan is fighting against himself.
If everyone gets their own way then fairly soon there is an 'infinite' number of fool-gods trying to do an 'infinite' number of fool-god things. God save us from these fool-gods.
was going to bump the other thread, but, this....just...... i mean:.

some fun the early christians had:the pope's pears:.
To the one that demands proof that God exists...
Does creation exist? Does life show signs that a creator exists?
Life was not always here. It came from something. Something caused it. If it is your theory that the formation of life is a natural process then show me how the natural process turns non-living matter into complex chemical machines without any pre-existing life.

Maybe they were too scared to stand up for themselves, after all they saw what god did to Adam and Eve and to Satan when they exercised their free will.
Satan rebelled before the creation of Adam and Eve. God did not even do ANYTHING to Satan until long after the creation of Adam and Eve. So, after all, they didn't see any of what you stated. You can't accuse God of intimidation to coerce loyalty out of the other 2/3 of heaven it didn't happen like that. If anything Satan scared angels into worshipping him because they feared his wrath.
I dont wish to worship a god that makes a creation then punishes it for how he made it.
I don't either. God does not punish creation for the way he made it.

Mate you have very faulty reasoning and no logic.
I answered the question. Choosing the devil may not be an issue on Judgement day. Even though someone chose the devil it may not be held against them on Judgement day. This was statement number one.
Statement two:
Anyone choosing the devil will be screwed on Judgement day. They will be screwed because anyone choosing to the devil could not have chosen Christ which is the only way to not be screwed on Judgement day. This is not contradictory. You are assuming that by being screwed on Judgement day it is was because they chose the devil. That is where you are in error. You are assuming I meant in my second statement that choosing the devil would be a charge that is used to determine a verdict on Judgment day. All I meant was the type of person that chooses the devil DOES NOT choose christ and thus is screwed because they chose the devil even though they may not be found guilty FOR choosing the devil.
Pay better attention please.
I can not argue with you because you can't even see where your own statements are contradictory
Wrong, you can't see where my statements are contradictory. If you can, then tell me the contradiction. Don't just say I have faulty reasoning and no logic without exposing my error.
if i were to believe in the bible (which i am starting to totally disbelieve), i like the idea that satan was actually on mans side, and when you look at what he told eve he was actually telling the truth, it was god who lied.

Starscream: First of all, that is not what Judgement day is for. Second, I think I have only implied that this will be an issue on Judgement day. That does not mean that it will be one, and it certainly won't be the deciding factor in someone's Judgment if it is.
Then you add:
Starscream:Anyone who is choosing the devil is screwed on Judgement day. End of sentence.
So which is it?
You think this is a contradiction? It is not. First of all the context of these two statements were different. The first statement had its context as whether or not taking the devil's side was a factor in the judgement of a person. I said it may or may not be a factor. I also said : "it certainly won't be the deciding factor in someone's Judgment if it is (a factor)." A deciding factor is something that can simply negate all other factors to make the determination. To make it clear I should have said the only deciding factor, that is what I meant though.
The other statement was also true. It is based on more than what I said but it is true just the same. If I say everything needed to clarify, you will probably get more upset, but here goes. Judgement day is to determine what someone has earned in life. Anyone being Judged on Judgement day would have to be perfect to not go to hell, which is where people recieve what they have earned. Don't make assumptions about hell like everyone else does. Since no one is perfect, anyone even being Judged on Judgement day is screwed (going to hell). The only way to not be screwed is to get out of Judgement day.
My statement: "Anyone who is choosing the devil is screwed on Judgement day. End of sentence," is true. This is not necessarily because of choosing the devil, as I said in my previous statement, but it is because anyone who chooses the devil is not going to find a way out of appearing on Judgement day.
Who can say, "I choose Christ and the Devil."
So yes, it would seem wrong if you didn't know those other things.
we find god's name "jehovah" so many times in the old testament, but not at all in the new testament.
jesus is called a "mighty god" in the bible.
jesus is also called "father".
I hate to beat a dead horse, but just in case he is still kicking.....
Are all the billions of people who have lived on this planet who have never heard of christ ....or ever will hear of him.......going to burn too. .....go away.
I told you:
"At first this does not make sense." This is in large part due to people making assumptions about hell.
So I ask you. When your life is over with do you want what you have earned? Yes? Then you should want to go to hell because that is where you will get what you have earned. I on the other hand have no interest in getting what I have earned. I want what I do not deserve. I want a Ferrari and a billion dollars. I don't deserve these things. I have racked up at least $100,000 in speeding tickets, plus several years in jail for DUIs but I dont want these earnings.
going to burn too
You are implying and assuming that something will be unfair. You know what billions of people have earned? I don't. I have no clue what other people have earned. I don't know what anyone has.
if i were to believe in the bible (which i am starting to totally disbelieve), i like the idea that satan was actually on mans side, and when you look at what he told eve he was actually telling the truth, it was god who lied.

Starscream, This just brings us back to the god of the bible being an arbitrary Jerk.
I already have an ongoing debates on this topic. This is the thread that it is under:
Resurection of "Can any believer answer this?" |
because if we can't fairly choose god or satan and god is going to have a judgement day, where he destroys everyone who believes satan is the good guy, then he is being unfair.
First of all, that is not what Judgement day is for. Second, I think I have only implied that this will be an issue on Judgement day. That does not mean that it will be one, and it certainly won't be the deciding factor in someone's Judgment if it is. Third, the demons rejected God for Satan. They had no reason to reject God for Satan. They should look to Satan, their God, to protect them from the real God. They should not complain that it is not fair that they picked a lesser God. They knew Satan was a lesser God. They should have considered how powerful Satan was when they were so impressed by how cool he was. Anyone else that thinks Satan is so cool should consider that factor also. That is the end to my point. I think right or wrong is something I am debating elsewhere.
where he destroys everyone who believes satan is the good guy, then he is being unfair
This would be better addressed in the other thread. Anyone who is choosing the devil is screwed on Judgement day. End of sentence. This was not my point though. I was simply trying to raise people's awareness of bold they are becoming by trying to argue that the devil is the good guy. You all should know this is false. In the other thread it is being dealt with in an academic way. This thread is just flat out "Viva, el Diablo!" I am not going to treat that attitude as academic. I don't know why exactly or what difference it makes but I just don't like posting under this thread. I admit I am just on this thread to hit and run. On the other ones where this is being debated I am not.
But as we see fom the bible, fairness doesn't rate with him anyway.
Of course you know I would disagree with that, and if you wish to add to the existing thread then go ahead.
the following e-mail was sent to the admin to post for me since my account had been deleted.
it has not been posted, so i have registered just for this one post.
let me say i am not trying to cause disruption to the board and i do not wish this to be seen as a personal attack on anyone, but i also dont want to be known as another jw that posts and runs with his tail behind his legs that i have no doubt already been labled.
Johnny, all
I didnt realize that was how "moo-ley" is spelled but yes. Johnny is right a 'molhie' is a slang word for n***** used by Italians, especially in New York/New Jersey.

starscream...you are gambling too that there will be some judgement day, so I guess that puts you in the same boat as those gambling it aint gonna happen...
That is beside the point. I didn't give odds on Judgment day vs No Judgement day. The odds were based on God vs Satan on Judgment day. Many people on this thread seem to be backing Satan IF there is a Judgment day.
