  first T-day dinner this year

  i live in a seniors-only apartment complex.

  management has a tendency to patronize us, which is interesting and rather entertaining.

  today we had our annual t-day dinner for the seniors, catered by a local church.

  you all spend all your time bickering about religion and doctrine and god and evolution and atheists, not to mention all the discussion about athiests too.

  you are totally ignoring an important subject.

  we haven't had one fucking decent discussion of dr. who in at least a year!!!.

  hey everyone, i want to apologize for not rtesponding to a number of messages i recieved over the last month or so.

  i took a break as suggested by someone else to try and sort things out and clear my head.

  my wife has been reading alot on here and kept me updated on all the fun that has been going on!.

  I was wondering if maybe your brother is jealous of you.

  After all he tried to do everything "right"- following all the rules for a good JW.

  And look at you--- you followed your own path... you have a great wife, a successful business and you thumbed your nose at all of the JW rules.

  Did anything happen to you? Did lighting strike you? You didn't even get kicked out. And you didn't have the decency to be miserable. Where is the justice?. Does that mean everything he has done is worthless? whats the point of sacerficing and devoting your life to the org. If anyone can walk away willy nilly? Who knows what his secret dreams were?

  Visiting my Hardcore JW Family

  been a while since i've posted on here.

  so i'm going on vacation tomorrow to spend a couple weeks with my hardcore j-dub parents and my brother who is a bethelite.

  i'm solidly faded, and they know that, but i know that they will be talking about nothing but the nnwt(tm) for the entire time i will be there.

  If you don't believe in God where do you get the strength to cope?

  i know there are some here that are going through some tough times.

  some of you do not believe in god.

  some are not sure.. i was told recently by a friend to pray to god for help and he would comfort me.. my first impulse is to pray.

  Nickolas: thank you for thinking about me. Your comments really helped me and made me think.

  You were right I was depressed. I have been on meds and they seem to be helping.

  I realise I have plenty of time to research and think things through. I am keeping an open mind and am trying to be open to new possibilities and ideas.

  I am paying more attention to my health. I am feeling more optimistic about life.

  I am postponing any big changes and decisions for a while. Right now I am taking your advice and am working on getting to know myself.

  You are right..it is a slow process and sometimes painful.

  Hamsterbait: finding strength within is easier said than done.
