under the subject of the "proper view of disfellowshipped and disassociated persons.
unit 5 (a), it says, " the principle set forth in jesus' words, at matthew 10:34-38 has a bearing on situations involving disfellowshepped or disassociated relatives.

As far as you visiting her, the ball is really in her court. If you have a functional relationship with her and she would not object to your visiting her, the elders will not interfere, as long as you do not bring up religion or the reason you left the Organization. Keep your visits on track, don't bring up any issues, and your visiting her will be a positive thing.

i am a disfellowshipped brother and have never had a problem with the organization's doctrines.
i am, however, deeply disturbed at the undeniable use of hidden or subliminal images in the illustrations of the wt publications.
there are so many that it cannot be interpreted as anything other than a deliberate pattern.
Looked in on the sight, but with all respects, seems like a stretch. Also, where is the sinisterness in a human face or the letter "s"?

I,m new to the forum, been visiting (lurking) for some time, but didn't have much to add to things already stated.
Had an interesting question to this thread about Uzzah and a personal conclusion about much of the difficult things in the Bible. If they didn't use the proper means to carry the ark, how did they get it on the wagon in the first place without someone getting struck dead?
Also, could it be that Uzzah just happen to suffer a heart attack or stroke or something from all the excersion, and people interpreted it as an act of God, much like the religous views that AIDS is punishment from God? We had seemingly healthy athletes fall dead on the baskeball court. Not too long ago some would have concluded that they must of done something to piss God off.
People back then would be alot more superstitous and ignorant than today, yet people do and think many stupid things and somehow get God involved.
Anyway, just one way of explaining some disjointed things of the Bible.
a friend of mine has been "groomed" by her father all her life to become a jw.as soon as she was 18,she cut contact with all her non-jw friends.she then got married to a jw(which i believe was arranged for her).she's moved towns without leaving a contact number,and when she is seen by chance,she avoids the situation by walking the other way.i've been threatened by her father,and her husbands threatened to kill me if i ever talk to her again.
(they seem a bit over-protective to me:-)....my friend and i are very concerned about her.......does anyone know if there's anyway of contacting her without alerting her "protectors"??
