  Was that applause I hear at the end of Herd's talk? He announces cut-backs, lay-offs and "special" invitations for certain middle-aged couples and the people in the audience break out in applause? I thought that was a little odd reaction to negative news.

  Nice catch LoisLane, that is the reason they are changing the names- to once again skirt the law.

  I remember Episcopo from his powerful DC talks back in the nineties. He was such a pillar in the US Spanish DO work; it's really sad to see him now with nowhere to lay his head. I wonder why he needs a place for four on a special pioneer couple stipend.

  Mobile Hotspot - JWFACTS.COM - Assembly & Conventions

  here is an idea i tested.

  works at both assemblies and conventions.

  i have noticed at the last convention and at my last assembly that when i opened up my wifi setting, tons of hotspots came up for people tethering their tablets to their smart phones.

  I suspect that all the content of any WT assembly is copyrighted and thus, using the convention theme would be in violation of copyright laws (and subject to the full weight of WT Legal Department). Naming your personal hotspot JW.Facts.com and redirects to this website is a very shrewd concept. Do it.

  i remember reading it in a forum member's post, somewhere last year or so.

  the poster said she (i think it's a she) quoted the scripture to one elder and told him that it applied to him.

  i have some updates and new information on the downsizing in bethel.

  25% of all bethelites around the world will be sent home.

  in the us over 1,000 will be sent home.

  That is going to be a shock to the Bethelites to have to tidy up their rooms on a daily basis, considering how anal WT is about housekeeping rules. I know that you are not supposed to leave lines in the carpet when you vacuum and not having anything out of place.

  just got done watching parts of the october episode at jdub.broadcasting and it looks like the definition of "sacred service" is getting an update.

  construction work, helping out fellow dubs, even helping out non-beliebers and opposers will soon be adding up to record progress for publishers... gett ready for a huge increase in hours being reported.... can you hear it now??

  The service report form S-43 has not changed since about '53, so I highly doubt that any new columns will be added anytime soon. It's a nice concept to perhaps allow the following: giving bible studies rides to meetings column; or nursing home visit to encourage long forgotten brother/sister column (actual praying counts double); perhaps watching screeching toddler at meetings for frazzled single mom ( must be in 15 minute increments); maybe house cleaning for widowed brother/sister (grown children must live >100 miles).
