you have to go to these rediculous meetings maybe even engage in corporation sponsored magazine drives to get the propaganda into the homes of your neighbor in hopes of making another corporation zombie mystified by childish magical thinking, of a jealous deity that wants you to work for the corporation finacial interest or else die for your lack of corporation loyalty.. it is a stressful sitiuation with all kinds of trip wires one has to beware of in order not to be heading into some back room kangaroo court where obediance to the almighty corporation is the bottom line, and a fair hearing of the facts is last on the list of importance.. one consolation is that one may eventually get friends and family out of this demanding and destructive cult with patients and passage of time.. so what ideas would you like to pass on to readers?
what are some of subversive activities one can engage in while stuck in this nasty bit of mandatory corporation exercises of preaching, selling, and building?.

Hi All, Wow, do I really like this topic. My suggestion is..1 Thess. 4:11..to paraphrase...Mind your business. You can also make comments that make them think. I once made a comment about Paul, when he would say, I became a jew when then were jewish, I became a gentile if he was talking to gentiles..etc...My comment was(which was a while back), that Paul was a spiritual chamelion...He became what his audience was but never compromised God's word.After the meeting folks came to me to say, hey, I never thought about it that way..The operative word here is THINK.. The thing is to get them to go to the scriptures themselves, & see the difference between the Orgs. interpretation & what God really is saying. Most of the friends feel safe at the KH. They are looking for paradise here on earth. As we all know, no such thing. Now we all know about the coming WT re: FDS & 1914..Let's take a look at Matt. 28:18 And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. When was this? Hmm could it be before he went to heaven...was that in 1914. I'm just saying. Let none of us feel that God doesn't show individuals a new bright light as well...Sometimes the truth leads you to the truth. How many have read that and still said, he returned in 1914. I have yet to ask any of the friends about this scripture, because they will Jehovah'rize it to fit something that just don't make no sense. I don't agree with everything about the truth but it has a ring of truth in it..I don't believe in the trinity, I want so much to believe in the resurrection hope, (who doesn't want to come back) & many other things...but there are things I don't agree with as well. Do your studies, keep your opinions to yourself because as we know God will make it right (if he truly exist). Because I sometimes think the bible was written to make death easier to swallow..very scary to believe you live & die &&&& NEVER RETURN..that'll keep you up at night. Try to make comments that make them god..HMMMMMMMM. I do it all the time. My comments are in harmony with the scriptures it's just another way to look at it. Some folks don't like to rock the boat so their comments are sweet & syrupy all the time...One of my stumblers is Michael being Jesus...for some reason, that Hebrew 1st chapter just stays in my head which it says, to which angel did he ever say you are my son...I think that's how it goes..& I have a bunch of post-its all over my own bible where it points to maybe Mike isn't Jesus. But I don't say anything to anyone. Because one day there may be a bright light regarding that. I enjoy the friends & going out in service with them. I like my congregation, so for now, this is where I am...whether I stay or not...Time will tell... Man is imperfect all day long...so don't look ANY PERFECTION THERE..Don't think you can change them, many have tried few have succeded. If the Catholic church is still in existance after all the controversy they have had, don't count on the Witnesses to be broken up, either. Be Well, Legacy

Hi all,
The entire Royal family are a bunch of Welfare recipients...they don't work, they live off the gov't/people. Just show up at different places. Just ask yourself, what do these folks do all day.."Just stand on ceremony".. I just hope that the baby is healthy, other than that it's just as if the wife down the street had a baby. You don't know them but of them....They are going to name the child...Lil Prince...

I can't find any bibles...seems to be a shortage...

i have been trying to get 4 bibles for some folks i know who use to be jw's...not sure if they are returning but i'll do my part...can anyone shed some light or let me know where i can call to get bibles....patterson says there is a shortage, i've asked around to different halls in different states.. could it be because of jw.org ?.

Hi All,
I have another bible my Mom gave me a few years ago...The Good News Bible...talk about plain english...I know I know, it doesn't have Jehovah's name in it, but I know his name now (maybe) so I can fill in. When I do my studies, I'll read the NWT then if I don't understand it I go to the Good News..Plain as the nose on your face.
Here's a thought, if they re-write the NWT then there would be no need for their literature to explain the bible. Just like the KJV, written poetically, you need an intepreter to tell you about the thou's & thee's. So the NWT is written in the same manner, needing man's interpretation, and don't think it wasn't done on purpose. That way the org. could steer you in the way THEY WANT YOU TO GO. I agree, I don't think they are going to re-write the NYT.
Hold the wire, as we all know, Sept. 2013 issue of the WT (study edition) FDS & 1914...Hmmm, maybe they will. Got to clear things up for us slaves. Because today's truth's just may be tomorrow's error's..Got to stay current with God's chariot wheels..
All I know is that there aren't any English Bibles to be found..."What a puzzlement"

Here is another thought..ASK HDQ...Excuse me Brother, I've been trying to get a bible(s) for interested students..(they don't have a computer), Brother could you let me know where I could get a bible(s), if not what is the cause of the shortage ? Remember to be nice & loving. Most likely they will say you can direct them to JW.ORG, but you can say the students don't own a computer & I have been calling for a few months now, Brother (now remember, PLAY NICE), why is there a shortage ? You get more with honey than with vinegar..
This way there is no speculation..now whether they tell you or not...now that can be another topic.

I had an incident happen to me last week. A sister told me about my dressing (I'm newly baptized). Well instead of getting huffy, I thanked her & told her I know she was only telling me out of love, blah blah blah. Guess what? She still don't know how to take it. I thru her off her game. A friend of mine said..I gave her the love bomb...works..most of the time..(that was just a little side note on being loving). Because you know most witnesses are loaded for bear...aka: have to have the last word.

Hi All,
Thanks for your replies. Did anyone watch the video about an African country had their convention & everybody got their own copy of the bible in their language. I'm not sure what the language was. As we know at these conventions are thousands of people. So maybe, just maybe, they stopped the presses to be able to distribute bibles to everyone. From the video it was said that there was only 1 bible per congregation. Just a thought...They sent the bibles where the need was greater..sound familiar...

To those who think I don't know what I got myself into...I'm not that naieve. I do know some of it but know that there is more to them. I see it right in front of me. I have talked to sisters who feel they can talk to me because I won't judge them. I'm a mature person. I have worked in corp. america all my life...so I do know MAN. I worked where they told us, don't worry about your jobs, in a few months, out the door we went. Man lies, he is imperfect...everywhere you go..there is MAN...every church you go..MAN...the difference in the churches is that YOU & ONLY YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE..in the hall, it's different, it's like elementary school, they tattle...now you have to ask yourself why do folks tattle at the hall ? Because they want to keep the congregation clean...NOT...try as they may, it'll never happen. I have heard so many stories, that it makes your head spin. They talk about your clothes, your hair, etc...I have a line that I used on them once..I was a study then...My mother raised me once you don't have to raise me twice. I'm still in the God's love book...why am I reading about being clean...didn't our parents tell us. Most of the stuff witnesses are talking about is the stuff our parents told us, so some of us have to hit over the head again. This stuff we going over is the samething over & over again...Be nice, be humble, be be be...Only time will tell if I stay...I like the congregation I'm in, so far, yep, we have some crazies but again, they are everywhere....I'm not looking to get tossed out but one thing is for sure, if they do...No organization can keep me from God. I come to the internets to make sure I'm not drinking all the kool-aide. I am happy for now, but when I'm not, well again time will tell. It seems folks bought into them being perfect because so many witnesses have such a self-righteous attitude, but if you keep your eyes open, you'll know they may not have the faith they preach to others. They are not right about alot of things, but I keep my mouth shut, because as they say, God will settle it..so far I've seen that..this up coming WT, about 1914 & The FDS...major changes..I never bought into the 1914 theroy. Maybe the witnesses just say the exact opposite of other religions. They have run ahead of the scriptures, these sites just confirm many are still witnesses & see things different from what they are told but come to sites like these just to keep the peace. Many have made their life the hall, so they have nothing or nobody except the friends in the hall. I have worldly friends, they are happy if I'm happy, so far they respect my choice...that's all I ask is respect, the moment they don't then we will see. There is nothing like having a friend that you have had history with, they know you better than anyone else. I have so many sisters come to me to talk to me....they have no friends..and as my Mom says about me...I'm the friend of the friendless. I care about people..many of the friends have been hurt by the witness friends...so you see I have some insight to what the real deal is. I take care of my elderly Mom, so they cut me some slack, so many times I can bow out. Just before I got baptized & one of the elders that was going over the baptism questions said to me...Sister...it seems the congregation is very attracted to you. I told him I thought so to. I try to be happy, and bring joy, try to be encouraging...in other words a good person. You see I came in fixed & what puzzles them is that they didn't fix me..Many thought I was a sister before I got baptized...I have the fruitage of spirit before I got there. That is still perplexing them..to be honest, they just don't know what to make of me...Plus most of the sisters are married...so they keep close eye on me...don't want their hubbies getting no ideas about me. I'm separated from my hubby but I keep my rings on, why ??? Cuz I don't want no trouble ...LOL...Again, I'm not saying I can see all the stuff they are about, but I got my one good eye on them..My Mom says to sit by the door because if it is a cult, because with cult folks, if the end doesn't come then they'll make it come, by making kool-aide..so she says always sit by the door just in case them fools pull a Jim Jones on the friends...LOL..but really not LOL..I like this forum, much better then other ones...I will see how you folks roll on here. You seem to have a wealth of information, that I need to know, to continue with them OR NOT.

I just came to this site..I'm Legacy or DATRUFF..I posted on the Bethel Layoff...Just got baptized. I will spare you all the stuff I know about the witnesses...Just to cut to the chase..they/I are just Human..& imperfect..I didn't join looking for perfection. I wanted to learn the bible because I was tired of everyone telling me the Bible says. I found out for myself...The Truth lead me to the truth. One thing you can say...They take the sting out of death, whether it's true or not. We will never know, until it happens. Because nobody has come back except Jesus to tell us. Death is a mystery & scarey also...it's the unknown..& Humans can't stand not to know & what they don't know, they make up. I know what I'm in for. I came in with my eyes wide open. The Truth has a ring of truth as in all religions. So that's the bottom line, you can go from Hall to Hall or church to church, none of them have the truth, because the Bible depends on each man's interpretation. Anyway, to address...Young Men to reach out..Let's be real, how many young or old men, are lining up to be celibate. That's the real deal breaker right there. Some of the young ones get married early because of sex & burning with passion. Some marriages last & some don't. I have friends that are not in the truth & have been married over 40 yrs. So it's a gamble in or out of the truth. If you are a married man, it's a little easier to serve, but at the same time not so. Men are visual. They can't help but look. So they have wives who may be insecure so, as I have experienced, they look past, above or over you. When I first came to the hall, I would talk to a brother, & they would look every where except at me..I found that strange but then I caught on. Watch your eye gate. If anyone know men...they just have to see you once..that's all, the image is there. One of the sisters is very sexy, but no matter what she does to dress modestly, she is sexy. She has been told on several occasions about her dress but...there is nothing she can do. She could wear a pototoe sack & she'd still have it. The brothers are trying to change her but what it really is...they are tempted by her. So they want to cover her up. Bulletin Guys...she is who she is..maybe they should consider not changing her but their way of looking at her. One of the brothers said, maybe if you would change you could get a mate in the truth, but really what it is...the wife, finds her a threat...all wives do. She isn't a flirt & would love to find someone, but as we all know, most sisters have to bring a man, not too many meet in the hall, unless they are very young. So all that to say this. They can campaign all they want to bring in more males..but it's the celibacy thing..how many men, would line up for that..How many men want to listen to another man to tell them what to do...Not many. It takes a special man to do that. We have quite a few elders, & young ones, we can only hope the young ones reach out. Plus this generation is much more sophisticated than the generation before them, so they are a little ahead of the game, & since the young have nothing to believe in anymore. The veil has been lifted, our x-President having sex, the priest having sex. They are a part of this social media thing. Nothing is a secret...I mean nothing. We told our children how to act, yet we adults are in the back room, doing who knows what..they say, why listen to the adults..they aren't even acting right...Adults are no longer roll models. What I wonder is, Elders and older folks who have been preaching the end is just around the corner & they are 60, 70 or 80 yrs. old, what is really in their minds. Would love to hear from a long timer that has been in the truth for over 50 yrs...what would they say to the younger men about reaching out..

I'm new to this site. Use to go on the AllExperts site...too much fighting...Everybody can't be right. First let me say, I was just baptised. I came into the org. with my eyes wide open. I saw who witnesses were as soon as I stepped in the door..oh yes, at first I use to clutch my pearls but I recognized that witnesses which I am one now are just folks..Oh, yes they will say they are not perfect, my my answer to them is..Oh, are you a better imperfect person than the rest of the world ? I knew they didn't walk on water. The problem is that they think the world doesn't see their imperfections bcuz they are out in service. I did alot of research on them. They are no worse or better than any religion. The Org. is a structured enviroment of which some may need...some folks just don't have any balance in life & can't run their life, so they have to be told. Anyway. I read many sites about witnesses, child abuse, scandals, Bethel Layoffs..where does this information come from? It's never in the NYT, WSJ, Daily News, etc. Major publications why isn't it common knowledge? Why is there no one in my KH that knows about these things. Is the WT PR that good, they seem to be better at keeping secrets than our CIA. IF this is true re: Bethel Layoff, it's sad. But even the bible says...count the cost of your desicions. When we go to the conventionso or assemblies we are told to simplify our lives, maybe consider being a full time pioneer. Well before you do that, you must count the cost..make plans, don't just leave your job & expect others to take care of you. In this economy today, who can afford to not count the cost. The average family has just enough to live on for their own families...many don't have xtra & the ones that do, they are not telling. I hear many witnesses say, things are so expensive now...but if you visit most of them they own their own home or apartment & the places are beautiful..So it comes down to folks have money for what they want. Don't talk about gas, they'll always say, Aw, gas is soo expensive, well, let's be honest, the lest expensive thing on a car is the gas...you can get $5.00 worth of gas & go about your business...anything else on the car is most of the time over $100, so gas isn't the biggest problem. I see witnesses as just plain cheap, but the money saved on worldly things, like holidays should leave some extra money in the kitty, I asked a sister once, when she was complaining about something costing too much, so that you don't celebrate holidays & don't give into worldly possessions, what do you think that you are not supposed to pay for anything. You have $$ that the world doesn't have. She had to agree. I know I'm going on & on, but just wanted to say again, I feel sorry for the Bethel layoffs..."Welcome to the Real World". I hope many of them have counted their cost & have some savings put aside. Even in the bible it says, Those who do not work will not eat. Let's be kind in thought to them because among them are some who are innocent & just didn't know any better. Why they didn't see the writing on the wall, well, who knows. As many witnesses do, stick their head in the sand. I know many things about the Org. & about many different witnesses. I decided to get baptized anyway...because forewarned is fore armed. It's like you know your hubby is lazy or maybe a drinker, but you decided to stay, so when he doesn't work or comes home drunk...you are not surprised. I feel the same way about the ORG. As long as man is in the mix, you can't be surprised at what goes on.
