Christmas Eve Afternoon
by Joe Grundy inwell, it's christmas eve afternoon here now in the uk.. traditionally a time when all the panic shopping is over, what's done is done, what you've forgotten you've forgotten, time to raise a glass (or two) and relax.. so may i wish all members/readers/posters a very happy xmas, whether you celebrate it or not, and extra 'get up and go' for 2015.. best wishes to all.. .

WTBT$/JW's = AMWAY/MLM Schemes
by Darth Fader The Sequel inall of the wts tactics and procedures are based off of your most basic mlm (multi-level marketing) schemes.
take your pick of amway, or any of the other vitamin or financial mlm's.
they all work the exact same way.

Freedom of Relgion has been taken away.
by Jeannette inwhen a person is disfellowshiped by a religion just because he or she doesn't believe it all is very serious.
some disfellowshiped ones have even taken their own lives because they have been made to feel so bad.
it's down in black and white that parents and friends are supposed to shun them, shunning is acting like someone is dead.

How do you overcome this JW excuse?
by EdenOne induring one of those meetings that took place before my jc, one of the elders, who was a good friend of mine back then and used to come up with a few outlandish personal views about some teachings, attempted to counter one of my arguments like this:.
eden - "well, if the truth doesn't change, why is it that what we teach as 'truth' has changed over the years (several examples given)?
how can we dogmatically claim at any given moment that we have 'the truth' if our teachings keep changing?".

No words
by mikeypants inso, i'm visiting family this week who are all jws.
yesterday, it started with one of them talking about a co giving her some points on time keeping for service.
she is now writing a letter before she drives to service, so she can count her drive time.

JW are naive
by bobld inone dictionary defines naive as;generally speaking,to be naive means you do not think enough.people who are "naive" tend to beleive in whatever they are told, without questioning whether it is right or wrong.i think this defines jw because they accept whatever the group of 7 tells them.ex.the several definations of a generation.or the end is near see wt 2000 etc.. these people are naive, because they believe that people like himmler regret sending all jews to the gas chamber( quote from internet).
