why would they remove bible verses from the bible?.

I noticed it yesterday. I thought I had to re-boot my computer. I was doing my WT for Sunday went to JW.org. saw chapters but no verses. Guess it's some type of glitch....Wonder if anyone has called HDQ, to let them know. OR...maybe they are going to re-arrange the verses...too bad we can't print the entire bible as it is now & then compare when they DO fix the glitch....Maybe they'll say when one clicks on JW.org...SITE UNDERCONSTRUCTION...

Because God told them to....that is so true, so many other religions stood around in train station, outside, wherever. Now they doing the same thing. I think they hate other religions so much, they did all they could not to be like them...but in the long run, they are the very folks the hate. So door to door isn't effective anymore ??????

but meekly toe the line at the Hall and never concede that the Borg may, just may, be wrong .....It's not about that the borg is right or wrong, it's not the flip flopping of the doctrine...it's none of the stuff w all talk about...it's God's organization...no more no less. That is their badge of honor. That's it in a nutshell..whatever you say to them...well, it is the Truth & God's organization but the friends are imperfect. Think about that answer, they defend it because they think it's God's mouthpiece.....Everybody wants to know God personally & say, God told me this or that....Every religion wants to be right. What scares them, is this....THIS JUST MAY NOT BE HIS ORGANIZATION....then they will pass out...Even if one day, they decide to believe in the Trinity....the friends would say well, I don't know but, if the FDS says so, then it must be so. But in their minds they'll say, "What the heck"?...Elite is the mind-set of most witnesses. I live in a certain area, low income but then their are those that are not. You should hear how the friends talk about folks less fortunate, & get this...they live in the same area, but turn their nose up. It's a certain attitude they have...that they feel they are better than everyone that isn't a witness. Kudos to your friend who can see past her nose. Yet, when they give comments it's always about being humble & that's the last thing they are is humble. Most of them try to walk around looking lowly...poor me...they think having low self-esteem is the same as humble. Or even being shy, I don't buy it. That's just for show...most of them not all are mean spirited & yet, when they comment, it's all syrupy.
So all that to say....It's not anything that blows up a witness skirt more then them thinking they belong to God's only organization...Period. But as they say....GOD IS NOT PARTIAL ONLY WHEN HE CHOOSES HIS MOUTHPIECE...

i'm a born in, born in the 1980s and old enough to remember studying beefy (albeit full of crap) material like the the evolution book and revelation book (which we studied over and over and over and over).
books and brochures were wordy and chock full of legalistic language explaining away teachings and policies, some explanations slightly above the iq of the average person.. watchtower studies were longer (30 paragraphs sometimes), talks were longer and thus meetings were longer, pioneering was harder (70 hours if i remember correctly), assemblies and conventions were longer, and there were intricate food provisions to feed thousands of people (for a cost of course).. the average jw could recite watchtower propaganda for hours to indoctrinate others or defend their faith.
jws were interested in having meaty discussions at the door and challenging even pastors on doctrinal points.. i know this has been said many times, but the organization has gone through a massive dumbing down.. i can't figure out if it's due to the oblivious nature of the current governing body, a premeditated attempt by them at dumbing down the organization, or just the effects of life becoming easier around the globe due to reliance on technology.. i can only speak on my era, and i know that from the early 90s until around 2004 the organization was allot more doctrine savy.. over the past decade or so i'd say the collective iq of the followers has moved from 105 to 85.. indoctrination and blind belief has allot to do with being prone to be emotionally manipulated, but thinking ability has a say in that too.. social media is a decent gauge of how and what the average person within a certain demographic is thinking, and doing a simple hashtag search on twitter, instagram, or facebook reveals allot about how the current generation of young jws (15-28 or thereabout) are thinking.. many have become self obsessed, internet obsessed, hubris filled and passive, i can see an even bigger decline in growth over the next 5 years.. take a look:.

So true....Do you think the bible reflects the true God & his son Jesus Christ ? & That it is man that has distaughted the real truth. I agree, no one has the absolute Truth..I think if you find Christ, & imitate him...which Jesus is all about Love...Love God & Love your Neighbor. I think that pretty much covers it & have a repentent heart....We see David, he commited sin, killed & committed adultery....but God forgave him...& thru the line of David, viola Jesus. If God killed David because of his sins...We wouldn't be reading Psalms today.
The WT Society is just another organization, who want to control the minds of folks & say, if you follow me, you'll live forever....I want so much to believe in the resurrection, & I really do, but all I know is God/Jesus is not partial, so if I don't swallow all the kool-aide the the org. pours, like the criminal next to Jesus when he was killed....I/We just might have a chance...To me that's the meat & potatoes of the Bible...where Jesus said, Today, or Today I will see you in Paradise (with or without the coma). God/Jesus, have unconditional love...Man....NOT..

I haven't been in the truth for a long time. I have heard former witnesses say how much the literature has dumbed down. It can be many reasons, one could be they meeting more & more foreigners in their area, & many of the witnesses may also be illiterate. We are living in a dumb down society, this generation is a piont & click generation. They have no common sense, yet they give you Duh look if you can't navigate your Iphone, but they can't even remember where they left their keys. Even older adults have decided not to use their brains, why should they, the computer thinks for them. Another thought is that for years, it's all been about doctrine, so they went door to door with THE SO-CALLED TRUTH, but the problem was & still is the delivery. I have heard that the average witness was very stern & if you don't take this message, then too bad for you. If you look at the study WT, it's all about how we deliver the message, do we view folks as Jehovah does, The Golden Rule, Patience, Love, listen to the householder. I think the study wt's are attitude adjustments. I've heard some friends say, back in the day, when a person opened the door, they would put their foot in the door to continue their presentation. I think the society is trying to adjust how the JW's view folks that are not JW's. The average JW, has a pride problem, they have the truth but others don't. The society is breaking that type of spirit or trying to anyway. It's hard for me to sit through these meetings, because I learned about love God & my neighbors from my parents. They taught me how to treat people, how to be polite & think of others, & never think you are better than anyone, yes different but not better. In a nutshell, to have morals. So it's not that they WT's are dumbing down but actually teaching the congregation ....TO BE NICE....so yes it seems like it's elementary, & it is, because many of them either didn't learn, not taught, or don't remember how to LOVE...They have run out of doctrine, they have shot their load on that ....now it's all about ...OK, we taught you the doctrine, now we are going to tell you how to behave, because you didn't listen to your parents, so see Jehovah/Org. has to show & tell you.
I wondering how this Internet of the JW's will play out...will more learn TTATT...or have they shot themselves in the foot for folks to go to JW.org & then compare other sites & other religions...some may even research the history of JW's to see what they are about, it may be in their favor maybe not. Folks are bombarded with internet sites...time will only tell...

i had listened to the degrading talk by gb heard (on women) & watched a video on evie bklyn channel & there was alot of interesting questions that are raised.. i had always wondered why can't women in the hall handle mics or run magazine counter etc.?
but they (if annointed) will rule in heaven with jesus.
that is a pretty heavy responsibility to help jesus rule millions of people on earth, but yet they can't pass a mic or even run the sound system in the kh.

I don't think making love to a woman or vise versa is defilement....The bible said it...so now we know how God/Jesus & man think of sex. I think that word defilement was put in there by man...not inspired by God at all. As a matter of fact God said, be fruitful & fill the earth...& he knows exactly how that is done. Sex....
But what I do think, again, if this is all true...that if Jesus has his own government, he doesn't want any man in there that will be tempted by man or woman...I still think they are going to be enunchs. That's the safest way to go....

Because women will not be a part of the 144,000, that is why. The Org. just wanted to show they were not partial...All sorts will be a part of the 144,000...NOT...Rev. says it clear & concise...Rev. 14: These are the ones who did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins. So if women are a part of 144,000 did they not defile themselves with women/men. If it's true that they were not defiled by women, that should either let us know, they are all men, almost like eunuchs....they cannot be tempted by any human...male or female.

But that is an interesting point....if they are annointed, why can't handle the mic & other priviledges.....speak at conventions & assemblies, all the stuff males can do.
I like this point...now I have to figure out, how to say something to a sister or brother....but it'll go over their head, just like other stuff..

There is a site, I won't mention the name. I was on if for a long time...alot of mud throwing. There were Witnesses, non-witnesses, & x-witnesses on that site. If you would dare ask the witness a question they would come at you like a rabid dog. They are always arguing...I was told I shouldn't be on the site, but I then came back to them & said, neither are they. Come to find out they were on the site making time. They used the site to get hours. They even admitted it. They used to argue back and forth with commenters, non-witnesses, witnesses who faded out & knew about the Society.
It was so funny because that's what I thought. They were making up their hours by being on this site. Brilliant...
The WT, can't nor won't shut down this site, how else would they find out the truth. Or what's the latest folks are not believing...I think they make adjustments from reading this site....If they did shut it down, it would look suspicious...folks would want to know why.....what would they be afraid of. If they have the ultimate truth, they shouldn't care about any JW website. But they know they don't & so do we.

i know denial is a real bitch to deal with and i'm sure this bunch of over the hill gang will have a hard time doing google searches and they are probably not sure where to look but they oughta get some one to show them how to find all this information, this willful ignorance is really hurting them, and reality can come crashing in more horrible ways the longer the denial exist and is hiding valuable information you really need before you proceed to make better decisions for your company and the direction you want it to go..

Where do you think the Brighter Lights come from...web-sites...why are there so many changes, because so called apostates bring up certain scriptures from the bible that don't line up. You see back in the day, the public was at a disadvantage, so the witnesses could dance all over the publics head with their doctrine & who could debate them. But now, folks are reading the bible for themselves & so the org. can no longer back up some of their stuff...Remember July 2015, the new break-down...now JW.ORG...warned not to go on the internet...dangerous...now look. In NYC, they would complain about other religions being in the subway stations spouting the bible...now the org. has carts. I'm waiting for them to say Mike ain't Jesus....because we all know what Heb. 1 ** says, to what Angel did Jehovah say, Today you are my son...if you notice, they don't say that too much. There are too many rebuttals in the bible that don't point to Jesus being Mike, but sometimes folks are so smart, they shoot themselves in the foot. To explain how they came up with Mike as Jesus, only an intelligent person of the bible could discern that...oh really ?
They were once the smartest ones in the room, not anymore...Just imagine folks that go to JW.org...& see certain things then try to line it up with the scriptures, I think they bit off more than they can chew. The web-site has left them open for opinions...
Most of the GB's know TTATT, but why leave their cozy positions...
We all want the GB's to get their heads out of the sand, but it's really us wanting them to change, but it's us that just have to leave or change. If they did change would anyone stay or come back...it's us that have to take our heads out of their tails.

i am asking this question because jehovah's witnesses claim they have "the best way of life", "god's blessing", "the truth" and are trying to change the habits of healthy people by turning them in to their own makings.
i watched people who were great athletes turn all their muscle in to fat because we would get a elder or circuit overseer make remarks they were spending too much time "working out" and "bodily training is beneficial for little".

The Society leaves you nothing else that you can do. You can't do this or that, mostly every illustration is about a meal...so what else can bring comfort, food...You can't question anything, so you stuff food in your mouth to keep from saying.."Hey, that's not what the bible is saying"...they drive everywhere. You would think the amount of walking in street witnessing & door to door they do out in the open air, they would be healthier than most...Most of the sisters have ankles the size of elephants...Most of the sisters always talking about their weight but when they go to a gathering, they put alot of food on their plates & bring tupperware for later....orally fixated, I say. When I go out in service, all they say, I'm hungry....When we start to go out in service, their is always one sister that says...do you mind, I need to go get some coffee & donut....we go & they take up all the time out in the field drinking coffee & eating donuts....then when we finally do go out in service, now they are tired....I try to eat before I go out in service...I'm good until about 3 or 4. I'm older so I try to watch my weight....if any on here are over 60, you know, weight just comes on, without eating...The friends think I'm finicky, but it's not that, I like to look nice in my clothes...then they sister, you have a nice shape....I thank them & say, in my head that is...You can too, if you push away from the table...If any of you went to this years convention, the amount of friends that were overweight was amazing, & some were disabled as well...Everybody can't be slim & trim, but to eat so much, you can't even see your feet. At the convention it was hot & humid, so some of the friends were just passing out all over the place.
Eating takes the place of so many things....sex, a big mouth, shunning....etc....It's just plain frustration....but they would never admit that.
So to answer the question Why do witnesses promote a unhealthy lifestyle, because they control all aspects of the congregations lifestyle.
