The Turks don't want an independant Kurdistan state. They might just be sending troops there to make the Kurds realize that they REALLY don't want an independant Kurdistan

Pulling all non naval and non-ambassadorial forces back to the western hemisphere is a good idea. The US does not need to be in the business of liberating the world. If they are not liberated by now, its their own damned fault. Devil take the hindmost, as they say. For over two hundred years the USA has been an almost continuously "ON" war machine and its time to end it. Eisenhower and Washington, both Generals and Presidents warned respectively of the dangers of the military-industrial complex, and of binding alliances.
For those who think America is some sleeping giant, rudely awakened by an attack, the giant never went to sleep, except for once in awhile when he was to poor to fight. Here is a little list of American armed conflicts abroad, and dometic armed conflicts since America's beginning.
The American Revolutionary War1775-1785
Native American Conquests 1775-1890 (too many to list individually)

America always turns a blind eye to the sick old man of Europe. Most Americans have absolutely no idea how hellish the Turks treat Kurds, or even their own people. I still don't see how a country that has state-owned brothels staffed with female prisoners was admitted to the EU.

Ok.. odd question.
why are their dinosaurs in old NWT inner jackets? I don't have one any more, but I recall that there was one of the two legged variety walking hapilly along the continent of Africa on the old bible. Also I think the Paradise Lost book (The one that used to scare the $hit out of us kids) had some dinosaurs on the inner cover maps as well. I never got around to asking any elder or other bigwig:
what's the deal with the dinosaurs in JW books?

Elsewhere,
They could probably do that, easilly. It would depend if they could find an adequate way to twist the book up to meet their current teachings without making too many holes in the quilt of their theology. It would probably have to be a book they didnt refer to, too often in the recent past so as not to require to many new editions of books.
I would think perhaps that Song of Solomon might be first to go. which is a shame as its one my favoite bits of Judeo-Christian literature. I dont think the JWs have ever been overly happy about having what is basically an erotic interracial love poem in the book. They have managed to wrangle out a very difficult analogy out of it though, and so far they are sticking to its canonicity. For that matter they could suddenly decide to put a book of the bible BACK IN to the cannon like Maccabees or Gospel of Thomas, but i think for the JWs right now, less is more. In any case they would have to come up with another version of All Scripture is Inspired of God book, which has been done before.

Working the trailer park one day this drunk woman asked me and my partner if we and our "pastor" could come over to her place to put oil on her. We didn't understand but she actually managed to explain that she was alcoholic and at the local church she used to go to, the preacher would actually pray over her and put oil on her head to help her fight the disease. I guess it had something to do with a biblical thing regarding annointing with oil. We said we'd talk to our elders about it and got the hell off her porch.
But at least I was asked by a woman to oil her up while out in service.

"There have been no military incursions into Iraq. Coincidentally I would like to take a moment and thank all these American deliverymen for their speedy delivery of bombs, cruise missiles, artillary shells, and bullets we have been receiving."
