  Has Anyone Read the "Left Behind" series

  i'm about halfway through and i think they're very engaging books.

  not sure about all the beliefs laid out in the books, but i still find them really interesting.

  "The Left That Is Not Left Within the 10,000 Things" would be a very boring book series, Logan.

  (probably why Chinese taoists added on some many cool superhero/supervillain gods into their pantheon)

  Being Patriotic , is it really that bad ???

  today was canada day , birth of our nation way back on july 1st, 1867, and the us will celebrate theirs on july 4th.. i was out and about today, and i just noticed how happy and proud people seemed to be today, i guess i never really noticed it other years.. what was the watchtowers big deal, my god, cant support or have any fun regarding the government.. i am totally embarrassed, about the way i felt about my country, not taking part, not saluting the flag, not voting.

  we all live in a great country, free from so many problems on this planet, and whats wrong with saying thank you, one day of the year.. well, i guess i am a truly patriotic person now, proud of my country and those who defend it.. happy birthday canada !!!!!!!!!!!.

  I was always kind of a closet patriot, I guess, but things came full circle when I replaced the bible on my bookshelf with a biography of George Washington.

  confused, You really hit the nail on the head. Blood is where the JW's call for sacrifice. It's put up or shut up time. They've watered down the prohibition so much in the last few years that there's hardly any point in them keeping it, now.

  I knew fairly early on I couldn't refuse a blood transfusion for my kids. I told their mother eventually, just so she knew. Blood was one of those main issues that really started to draw me out of the JoHos

  my sister...... is a psycho!!!!.

  she's "in feild service" sending out letters to people that didn't answer at the door.

  (which is already a little too much) she dressed up in her meeting cloths, head to foot, in order to be presentable while she is writing those letters.

  it was monday at the temple.

  our sangha (buddhist community) meets usually on mondays at the local monastary.

  it's not a pagoda or anytihng, it's actually an old farm house which has been well maintained.
