  Anyone Here Been To A Greek Island?

  i've booked a week in corfu, a greek island, commencing july 20. it's our first visit to greece.

  we're staying at a little place called paleokastritsa.

  the guide books say it's unsuitable for old people (too steep), teenagers (too quiet), or children (too dangerous, high peaks).

  Networking question

  this is probably a stupid question but can you set up a client server network with xppro or are you limited to simply peer to peer.

  IIRc, XP Pro on its own is limited to a workgroup network.

  However if you really want to, you can have 2000 server running Active directory, or for that matter a NT PDC and set up the Professional instillations to run as an old-fashioned domain (or even find an old Novell server and use NDS which run's better anyway)

  i'm "cooking fat" (at least my name sounds like that when he calls me in) scooby's cat, and whilst scoobs is away at the meeting,(you wouldn't see me dead in there) i thought i'd grab the chance to post in his absence.

  my problem is that he insists on feeding me kit-e-kat, when what i really want is whiskers supermeat.

  he reckons that only apostates feed their cats whiskers in this time of the end.... and i can't think why.

  so many threads on pictures, and desktops, how about telling us a few specs of your computer.

  my computer is 3.5 years old.

  -20 gig hard disc "maxtor".

  Motherchassis is a Babbage Analytical Engine with Babbage Difference Engine processing gearage overclocked to two computations per minute. Extras include algorhythmic mill, printing mill, steam engine to replace the handcranks, and a Hollerith Card Reader modified for RS232. It playes Matell Intellivion cartridges too. All in an Amstrad case.

  i probably was the biggest slut in the kh- sex before baptized @ 13- sex after baptism when i was 17. oral sex about 5 times w/ different guys from the kh-- what can i say, i loved being a rebel, & love sex- i think the elders liked it to because i had to tell them the details (some guy always told), & they would probably get off later- never was disfellowshipped-- i am a good actress, but i thought the "holy spirit" guided them, well not because they believed my sobbing- --:-) kristine

  i imagine that there must be quite a few bethelites that have been there for many years, and because of the internet or their own experience while working at bethel, that causes them to know that this is not the "truth".

  but because they have gotten old and have no place else to go, and so make beleive they are still with the program.

  can you imagine how tuff that must be, what kind of pressure that put on some poor soul lke that.

  If Disfellowshipping Were Forcibly Banned

  if the government were to step in on the JW practise of DFing and DAing individuals who were no longer really JW's anwyway, then it would have wide ranging reprocussions. For instance, the Mormon practise of baptising the dead. I dont think the US congress would touch that. Other nations, maybe. Especially one like Hungary that has been lied to in the past by WTS.

  private organizations need to have the right to reject membership on their own decisionmaking criteria.it's the actual shunning that is the problem, and I don't see how government can really regulate that, except for allowing torts to be filed over mental anguish, etc.
