canadian justice coming to an end this week, hopefully
by needs_lots into all who have been following my lawsuit against the society here in canada, the judge is to make her decision this week.
it has been a long 8 months since the trial, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that she makes the right decision when it comes to protecting the children (and myself) from the wrongs of the society.
we have not heard yet if she needs more time, so friday is the end of her extension.

I just wish we could see the look on some people's faces when the ruling comes through, especially if she rules in your favour.

Israelite tabernacle and temples....of pagan origin?
by Alana ini believe that it was the history channel that i was watching this weekend....it was about egypt--land of the gods.
in it is talked about the ancient gods of egypt and the elaborate egyptian temples.
then, it spoke of how when the israelites left egypt how they at first had their movable tabernacle and then their temples and how the set-up of them with the courtyards and the holy and most holy places were based upon the pharoahic worship and temples of the egyptians.

I had an aunt and uncle who were evangelical baptist missionaries in the Belgian Congo in the 40s and 50s, they were chased out by the headhunters and almost killed. Luckily they made it out alive. For their service to the christian god they were rewarded with almost dying from heart worm, my aunt died a horrible death from alzheimers and my uncle has 20th century disease.
Most christian religious holidays were plunked down on pagan ones in order for the christians to try and stamp out our religion. It didn't work and mostlikely will never work, as the christian congregations get smaller the pagan communites grow and prosper, makes you wonder,

JW Family...UPDATE! Please advise!
by Ghost of Esmeralda inmy ex husband just told me that he will continue to facilitate visitation between my child and my jw family who is shunning me (see my other thread "i didn't think they could find another way to hurt me but...") he says i'm the one with the problem and that i should be "ashamed of myself".
it's not like i thought he'd cooperate, but for him to stand there and tell me that he will allow my sister full access to my child and there's not a damn thing i can do (and probably, legally, that's right) makes my blood boil.
makes me just want to swallow every fricking pill in the house.

Hey Ghost, just to let you know I feel for you, though I don't have much advise in this matter except to consult a lawyer and perhaps Children's Aid, see what they say about emotional abuse. I myself had a hard time but just stopped letting access be convienient for me. That was 6 years ago, my ex tried once in those 6 years to see the kids, then stopped.
I will keep you in my thoughts, please let us know what happens and good luck to you in this situation

I am not big on John Edwards, I have heard that he gets information on people before the taping through audience polls, though I do realize that could be propaganda against him. I really like Sylvia Brown but agree with Rayvn that she can get a little out there and can be arrogant.
Have I had an experience like this, yes. I used to read cards for people but had to stop cause I kept freaking myself out. My grandfather used to read tea leaves and stopped for the same reason I did. I think you have to go with what you believe in your heart to be true.

she understands a few words, really.. after repeating the words and the actions at the same time, they get to understand certain words.. does your pet understand a couple of words?

My dog is obedience trained so she understands alot although she likes to pretend at times that she doesn't have a clue what I am saying, until the words such as:
Cookie
Walk
Food
Where is the baby
and Is it time to go out?

I know its hard sometimes, although I was not raised by JW's my ex's family was JW and they are not the nicest people in the world, for many reasons, not necessary to talk about right here or now.
I do have family though that are devout christians, be they anglican, or born again and I have an uncle who is an evangelical baptist minister. They all think I am crazy for my religion, my beliefs and the way I raise my kids to believe what I do.
I just try to keep in mind that they should not influence how I believe or live my life so long as I am not harming myself, my kids or the people that I love.
Any time you wanna chat, just say hi, us pagans need to stick together at times,
