as most are aware, vicki boer has been long awaiting a decision to be handed down in a case she started against the society in canada.. the decision was handed down today.

as with any 55 page decision, it will take some time for the legal experts to hash it over and decipher what was said.

but, in a nutshell..... vicki won.

I know that you won, but can you appeal the finacials of the decision?

Hi there again, I know that you have been super busy and I saw your posts on here and wanted to respond where you might get around to seeing them, I know you have been too tied up to read emails and respond to them very much.

Let me know if you are going to appeal. I will testify if it will help. I remember EVERYTHING that you told me, including what your dad said after the confrontation, what your aunt knew, what everyone was trying so hard to "keep quiet". I know that I wasn't there the first time around but as you know I didn't know it was you until the very end.

I am so happy for Vicki, but the amount is so small. In knowing ALL that she went through with that family and how they treat their family, she deserved much more. Perhaps now the JW society might consider cracking down on its members, and perhaps more victims will sue, and hopefully bankrupt this org.

Vicki - hold your head up high, you have nothing I repeat NOTHING to feel bad about. You did what you had too, not just for yourself, but is taking them to court you have shown your girls how to stand up for themselves, how to believe in what they can do, that you have shown them to be strong is a BIG victory in your life.

i will get my babies back this sunday.

Wow, at least she won, I wonder how many who were so against her and didn't believe her feel now. I know that it was not a large sum of money but it is something.

BORN AGAIN-What Exactly does it Mean?

since i seem to have offended some with my comments (moi?!.

why do so many christians, become christian again, and call themselves born again?

why not just say you decided to change directions and open your mind to a new idea?

As far as I know (which when it comes to christianity is quite a mixture of things!!) Born again people are usually though not always Baptist, hope that helps

Born again is a term they use to show their new devotion to God. The term was brought about because accepting Jesus (this seems to be a common denomonater for BA's) as your saviour (whether for the first time as an adult or again after having left his fold) you are "reborn" into the world.

I on the other hand tell people I am a Born Again Pagan, not cause I believe it but because for the BAC's it makes them FLIP!!! LOL
