Aspergers Syndrome

2 of my kids have AS. It is a real syndrome, trust me! My youngest and oldest boys manifest it in different ways and their real father had it too though I don't think that he was ever diagnosed.
It falls under the heading PDD, Pervasive Development Disorder, the same group that Autism falls in. It is often called Higher Functioning Autism. The children that have it tend to be extremely intelligent. They say that Newton and Einstien both had Asperger's Syndrome!
There are MANY websites. Just search under Asperger's on the net. There is OASIS and The Asperger's Society of Ontario. The Geneva Centre is Autism but also deals with Aspergers. My message box here doesn't work but if you would like any more info, just ask!

Hi everyone, just nervous about this whole adoption thing
by neverthere inhi everyone, i know that i don't post too much but today is a big day for me.
i go to the lawyers office to start the adoption proceedings, my current hubby wants to adopt the kids i had with my ex.
part of what worries me is i have heard that my ex is back in the fold.

Hi everyone again! Spoke with the lawyer, you should have seen her face when I said that he was a JW!! She is definitely Jewish and looked SOOOO unimpressed.
She figures since my current hubby has been supporting them for years and that my ex owes major amounts of back support it may just get him to sign the papers. I am worried though that his mother and family will stick their noses in! Thanks for all the good thoughts and I will update you on what happens.
Oh and I gave the lawyer a tape of the 5th estate from last night, the one about the child abuse etc. with Vicki in it. That should help me!

Part of what worries me is I have heard that my ex is back in the fold. Yep apparently he is a JW again!!! His family is soooooo controlling.
In the past he has threatened to kill me, they have threatened to take my kids, all sorts of things. He hasn't paid his child support in over 2 years!

Ok, so it wasn't really a date but it was when my hubby proposed to me.
He picked me up at work and brought me to the house that we had just bought. It was closing day and the house was FINALLY ours. He brought his cooler that he normally takes his lunch to work in with champagne and glasses.(he told me about that before) but stopped and said he had forgotten something in the truck. He reaches in and silly me, I am glancing at the garden, trying to figure out what I am going to plant where, so I turn around and he has a box in his hand, open to show the ring and says "so, are you going to marry me or what?". I started to cry and said yes.
You see in all the time we have been together it is the ONLY time he has ever been able to surprise me. I was floored.

All I keep thinking is SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW!!!!
I am sooooo happy about that. I also hate the hot hot hot weather, hubby says that is from being scottish, that my body is set to the cold gloomy weather.(He is portuguese so he LOVES the heat)
Lets hope that September will bring everything we all desire!!!

Organ transplants, just wondering
by neverthere inseeing that i have never been a jw so i wasn't exposed to the "teachings" they have, i have been wondering after seeing all the suits etc.
filed about transfusions, do jw's permit organ transplants?
i can understand why they in their reasoning wouldn't, but if they do, how do they justify it?
