  I throw out a lot of junk mail. So perhaps the elders will consider this junk mail.

  But then again... on occasion I do read junk mail. I believe there will be a percentage of elders whose curiosity may be piqued, or who have finally gotten to a point where they may be frustrated and the letter catches their attention.

  The letter is well-written. I think it should be sent.

  ECC 11:6 Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle,

  for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.

  heading to the apostafest this weekend, we have made a deal with our friends to look after our kids.

  given that they already have 3 children, adding 3 more could be stressful so we thought we would ask my parents if they wanted to take one overnight.

  bobbi mentioned that she hadn't really heard much from my mom and suspected something was up.

  I'm sorry for the situtation, but I'm thankful that you are both strong about your convictions that you will not be manipulated by your folks. What a great stand you are taking! Hats off to your delivery.

  Your comments about the access to your grandkids being in the envelopes reminded me of Martin Luther nailing his theses to the Wittenberg door. That analogy isn't too far off imo. I hope you can show your folks that you DID learn integrity after all. I hope that integrity is also your folks' priority as well.

  OM, how's this for quiet? Well, it is serene, anyway.

  johnny, I know you are a force to be reckoned with. I love to read your anecdotes. But if you could just challenge others without the insults, I would think your character as being noble as well. How much qualitatively better would JWs be if they were free of the bOrg, but then became full of contempt for each other? Not much, imo.
