You are absolutely right.
You are only a sinner in their eyes or by their standards or belief system.
Of course we all make mistakes. But "sin" is just this thing religion wants to press us in that we come running back to them.
well, i don't wanna rant too much but sometimes things cut you don't they.. a family member had a get together for the family, jw and non jw and of course i wasn't invited being da'd.. i understand why they couldn't invite me but it just made me think.
in normal society this wouldn't happen.
i'd have been there.. the shunning is so unnatural and damaging.

what would happen if i would write a physical letter to, for example, the branch office.
and ask questions about scandals like the ngo thing and other stuff?
or ask questions about wtbs economy, or ask for a annual report, which is something i would really like to read.
This happened so many times. You can even see many examples of letters and answers in older posts on this site (especially if you look at those under "blood and medical").
I myself sent a few letters to the branch office. It's not worth the time and effort, unless you want to show to a relative or friend that you had a sincere quedtion and they never answered.
For some not that controversial matters I got an answer, for controversial matters they just didn't answer or told the CO or elders to care about it.
They never ever answer anonimous letters.

I am not sure if this picture is accurate.
Looks a little bit photoshopped.

"You are ready for your drivers license, but you're not ready to dedicate your life... hmm explain that to heaven haha."
What an arrogant cult leader. Maybe he should explain to heaven why the rules about shunning and blood could be killing youngsters who dedicate their life to this organisation.
there is a quote in the new june episode of jw broadcasting, which says isaiah 11:6 applies to people inside the congregations now who have their personalities transformed.. in the 1980's and 1990's, when i attended meetings all the time, i always heard them say this scripture had a literal fulfillment and the animals will be at peace with one another.. here is the scripture:.
isaiah 11:6 (nwt): the wolf will reside for a while with the lamb, and with the young goat the leopard will lie down, and the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together; and a little boy will lead them.. after hearing the quote, i did a search on jw.org, and i found this statement regarding that scripture:.
isaiah book 1, pages 163-165:.
When they speak to children it is a literal understanding talking about their pet zoo in paradise.
When talking to a sceptic it's a symbolic understanding.
prayer is the act of saying something to someone that doesn't exist.
above all else, we need to respect ourselves for, if we don't, we are not capable of respecting others..
thirdly, bow to no one for if they had any respect for you, they wouldn't ask you to bow..
You call praying stupid because it is speaking to someone who doesn't exist.
How do you know that no god or higher power exists? Can you prove that?
Better to say "I BELIEVE praying is stupid because I BELIEVE god or a higher power doesn't exist.
You seem to still apply JW black and white thinking like what I believe is "the truth."
i faded completely (no kh visits or field service).. just recently a close friend from the kh wrote:.
"dear daniel.
it's a pity that we don't see you anymore at the kingdom hall.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

She knows that I left because jw doctrins are going against my conscience.
How would you answer?
so my 11 year old kid comes up today during breakfast and tells me.... my friends at school are playing this new game.
they balance a pencil over something else and then they put a paper under the pencil with the words "yes" and "no".
they then ask "charlie, charlie, are you in the room?".
You really have a smart kid who can think for himself.
You can be really proud of him and the chances are great, that he is not easily indoctrinated.
