I would definitely get rid of the "Lost" part of my name. I don't consider myself Lost any longer. I might still be searching knowledge and finding my spiritual path, but I think I am on the right track. And I will always be searching for MORE knowledge.
"Lost" was what I was when I found this site. Maybe I should be "Found" now? LOL

on monday at 2 pm, my grandmother peacefully passed away at the age of 100. .
her last words was when she was straining to see something that we couldn't see and she said, "roy???
" (my grandfather) and then she said, "mom???
I hope you always hold the good memories close to your heart.....and the sad memories close, too. It is those sad memories that teach us the best lessons. And the reasons why we LOVE.

Wow! This sure did bring back old memories for me. Every summer our family vacation was always centered around attending a District Convention somewhere. And they were SO BORING!!!! When I got old enough to volunteer in the food booths, I was so excited 'cause then I didn't have to sit next to my parents and try to stay awake anymore. My other volunteering friends and I would sneak out and walk around outside. We didn't care if it was 107 degrees outside and inside was air-conditioned. We were ESCAPING!!! LOL
My parents have already planned meeting my sister and other friends in Tucson this summer. Glad I have finally escaped for good.

yesterday i got home and i realized i accidentally brought a necklace with a cross on it from my boyfriend's house.. it was in a regular brown paper bag i put some of my things in.
i was lying in bed last night thinking about it wondering if i should take it outside.
i was afraid the demons were going to invade my house.. i decided to leave my tv on all night because we all know the demons will not bother you if your light or tv is on.
OMG! I remember going to garage sales with my mother as a little girl and as soon as we got home (before bringing anything we bought into the house), she would make us stand there while she prayed over it to get rid of Satan's demons. She didn't want them entering our home via the stuff from the garage sale!!! LMAO!!!

too bad - it was worth a laugh (or too), and it served as a big reminder why a person would never want to go back!!!

Actually, I don't think this is true:
Viv: No, not generally. AFAIK, POP3 servers don't send your IP addy, but don't quote me on that.
You can however be 100% sure that no-one gets your IP if you use a service like Hotmail or Yahoo (my preference, obviously) to email people. That's what I do!
About 2 years ago, a "friend" of my daughter's figured out her hotmail pasword and used it to get into her e-mail account and send a nasty letter to all of my daughter''s friends in her address book (pretending she was my daughter). I was able to see the IP address from where she sent the e-mail and compare it to all of her other friend's IP addresses and figured out which friend had used her e-mail account. All you have to do (in hotmail) is to go to Options, Mail Display Settings, and click that you want Advanced Message Header Displays. Then you have all info of where any received e-mail came from....including the IP address of the sender. Hope this helps! ~Bobbi

well, i haven't been on silentlambs in a few months.
it makes me depressed and very emotional.

The woman I have become weeps for the child I was......and the child you were. Words cannot express. I only hope you can feel my strength and support. You are in my thoughts and making me remember my own child within.
Someday I know I will post about this. My JW perpetrator was killed in a motorcycle accident last summer. For years he denied any wrongdoing and my own mother defended him. For months before his accident, he would speak directly to me in stores and in front of people and when I had family members with me, and I refused to acknowledge him or be friendy in any way. I have anger. And now I will never have any closure except that which I give myself.
Sometimes, I think we have to have the strength to give ourselves peace....and love ourselves enough so that our enemies can no longer have power over us.

YES! I definitely would! I think I must have been pretty down and depressed the night I found this great forum and joined. I suppose that at the time I truly felt "Lost and Searching". But everyday I am finding so much strength within myself, that I feel the name "Lost and Searching" sounds rather pathetic. LOL
Now, I think I would just like to use a simple "Bobbi" or even my initials or something like that. And I would love to be able to add a picture to my profile, too! ~Bobbi

my husband and i got into a fight last night.
Glad things have settled down for you tonight. I know only too well how a place like this is needed to just come and do a bit of venting. I wish I had had this place a long time ago!!! LOL My husband and I have been married almost 23 years and I left the cult for him. (or did I use him to leave the cult? hummmmmm.....) And we went thru that period which you described tonight MANY, MANY times. We women raised in the Borg, are taught to be subserviant to our husbands. And unless we stand up for ourselves from time to time and do some arguing, we will let ourselves be walked all over. Good for you for speaking out......and good for you for accepting your husband's apology and moving on. Afterall, that is all we CAN do.......move on......and keep growing outside of the Borg.
Anytime you need to vent.....feel free. Not only doess it help release the anger, but it also helps hearing others' viewpoints.
