  i’ve noticed a change in family attitude recently, like there is just something extra on their mind.

  i even had to call my brother to check if he was dying and too scared to tell me.

  anyway, i saw a video last night my saying jws think we only have 12 months left before armageddon so thought maybe this is the reason for changes attitude.

  Applauding the NHS (UK)

  hi, just curious to know if anyone knows of witnesses not applauding the nhs on thursday night.

  all i know is for some reason my mum and aunt only went out to listen but didn’t take part in the applause.

  not sure if they were just being strange or if there has been instruction not to take part.

  It's about aliens who are trying to take over the planet and who have hypnotized everyone through subliminal messages transmitted through television, magazines, posters, and movies. "OBEY, CONFORM, REPRODUCE, DO NOT QUESTION AUTHORITY" etc etc...

  The main character is played by Roddy Piper who finds a pair of special sunglasses which allows him to see the aliens and all the subliminal messages (as above). Basically, he kicks ass and the aliens lose.

  Sounds terrible but a classis 80's movie.

  lets face it, the bible does not say and so any explanation is little more than speculation.

  those of us here that believe the bible has value can only reason on it as we see fit.

  personally, i do accept the scripures but i do not see the need to take all of genesis quite as literally as the wt does.

  Confused?

  i have been going to meetings since i was a child, long story short only recently i've started taking the truth seriously, i am not baptized but just an unbaptized publisher.

  truth is i am so lonely in the congregation.

  the other young people in the cong don't like me because they dont think i am going to "stay" for long, i've even worked on the ministry with an older brother and asked her am i giving the wrong impression to people?

  I was in the exact same position, never had any friends in the hall. Occasionally people would speak to me but I was never really accepted as part of the group. I, like you, really made an effort with the "truth" and to put myself out there when trying to make friends.

  I remember at an assembly I tried to speak to a buch of people I met previously and one guy just turned round and put his back in my face. I almost punched him. After that I just gave up trying and stuck with my real "worldly" friends who accepted me for who I was.

  I was instantly happier when I left, maybe you will be too. Making friends in the real world is a lot easier!

  hi all!!

  im insanely excited and absoluteky flooeed with my wifes reacton to my honesty on the wt....shes worried about returning to who she eas, wanting to do drugs and drink and be anparty-er....so i ask many in my situation......whats next?!?!

  I think the biggest mistake anyone could make after leaving is doing drugs, excessive drinking and becoming a "party animal". You might have missed out in these things but really, it's a good thing. Drugs are definetly bad and will ruin your life, and possibly marriage more than the watchtower. I've seen it happen.

  I left and just lived a normal life like most normal people. There are decent people out there who live good lives without drugs.

  i'm sure topics like this have already come up but they tend to get hilarious with the absolute absurdity that goes on in the kh.

  i was once counseled for not shaving after two days.

  i was also counseled by a sister for eating lucky charms cereal.

  For saying "I'm knackered" when I was tired because it could also mean I was sexually exshausted.

  They obviously thought I was getting some action at 10 years old if they thought I may have been using the alternate meaning.

  The Little opportunities...

  i was thinking abot my life and how its the little opportunities that change things.... opportuity one...the advenrtistment in a national newspaper to be a house manager: as i understood less than a 100 people applied.

  i took it and lived in my own luzury flat 2 minutes walk from hyde park..all bills paid and a good salary to boot.

  ( crazy the guy owned so many houses i only worked 2 weeks a year).
