The grass is not always greener
by hollowheart ini have posted only a couple of times and remain a little elusive.
it is not because i dont want to mingle but more when i want to post on a little of my story, the words i want to write seem to mass with events and moments that are so overwhelming i cannot function anymore.
i get so writing my post before my heart seems to shudder, i get a pain in my core that removes any words i want to write, and at this point i log off........ i am 31 and it seems like yesterday i was among my "best friends" in the congregation, tim, steve, and mark.

back to college

i went back to college , started last month and really enjoy it .

Hello folks . I went back to college , started last month and really enjoy it . It's bit struggle cos its been long time ago I sat in school desk . English is't my first language and doing school in other then mother tongue is difficult , especially writing . Good thing though is that school coincide with thurs meetings which I'm not longer able to attend . The only thing that's bothers me is my first assignment there . I need to write my autobiography and I don't really know what to write about . During my childhood and teenage years I experienced only abuse and beating from my elder dad apart fom 5 meetings , ministry and reading mags + bible . No friends no celebration no anything you would imagine to live in normal life . Got thrown out of the house at 16 years old and did't end up living on the street only cos my grandma took me to live with her . I become suicidal and end up in hospital after taking a pile of a sleping tablets . Cut the story short I got married and we both end up being Jw . She's staunch Jw and I'm fading which means my life sucks again !! If I have to write autobiography i have to either lie or write truth .I feel like I am opening old wounds . Sorry I know it does't make any sense . I need just vent . Cao .

Nice video really . I really agree that toxic friends will tear you down for what you believe and we really deserve better then bunch of conditional friends ! It's nice that GB teaches teenagers how to choose a real fiends . Does GB allow for teenagers to have friend among "worldly" people if they have qualities described in this vid . I don't think so ! Options are reduced back to the toxic friends I'm afraid . There's no real option to use your brain and choose real friends for them . Or is it ? 1+1=3 .

Apostate books
by search4truth inafter learning ttatt attending meetings is real pain for me but have no option other then participate.
since many jw use mobile devices during meetings i use them too.
but instead of wt or bible study book i read apostate books like raymond franz books ,captive of concept etc.it helps a lot to survive 2 hours of boredom.

Well I'm doing that for a few months .Sure I need to be careful but so many people use those devices that nobody is really bothered and nobody ever tryed look over my shoulder or anything like that.My son sometimes ask me what am I reading - well -watch tower different issue though.

After learning TTATT attending meetings is real pain for me but have no option other then participate. Since many JW use mobile devices during meetings I use them too. But instead of WT or Bible study book I read apostate books like Raymond Franz Books ,Captive of Concept etc.It helps a lot to survive 2 hours of boredom. Problem is that though the talks are sometimes very disruptive and I can't concentrate on my reading.Anyone with similar experience?

Dysfunctional witness families
by concerned2 inbeing raised as a jw i feel dirty even posting here.
my life growing up was one filled with fear.
armageddon was preached to us day/night.

Left home at 16 after being throwed out couple of times for minor stuff. . Parents were giving org priority over us children Working too hard please people . Now nearly 20 years latter living 2000 miles away and my family and my past is still hunting me . Jealous of anybody having normal life! Good luck !
