  name the things you don't miss about going to a dc!

  ---getting there so early and then find that the "servants" have saved all the good seats

  ---not having time to make a decent lunch and getting admonished about not buying from nearby vendors.

  Prisca - Hoagies are sub sandwitches. The WTS would provide the most disgusting Italian dressing to go on top of them. Shasta is a cheap brand of soda pop...and they always served that nasty Shasta warm!

  anyone ever have one of those brothers or sisters in the congregation that would whine and cry that there isn't any work, they need this and that fixed, they have no food, clothes, etc etc?

  then the others in the congregation would come to help out, either financially or with physical labour.

  then 2 months later, the "unfortunate one" would go on a vacation to europe.. i knew a family like this, and their kids were no better.

  I would have to agree...the Shasta sodas, nasty ucky hoagies, fruitbags, and the potatoe chips they gave out only had 4 chips to a bag. Like others have mentioned those AWFUL 15 min. prayers. Oooh, there were many times I wanted to just walk out.

  one of the great things that this board offers is the ability to express yourself.

  sometimes, things we couldn't tell a person to their face, we can express here.

  or we might be able to give of ourselves, our experiences, our joys and frustrations......you name it!.......regarding my vent, it is that i can't understand why some post on these boards and yet are very pro witness.

  And this chick starts to go off on how this generalizes the Muslim faith and whoever started this e-mail should be ashamed. Then I got into it saying how disgusted I am of this religion; how they circumcise the women, make them cover there head, type of sex they may have...ect...I'm suprized she wasn't a JW...she was nasty and couldn't back up her beliefs.

  If You Never Were a JW What Religion Would You Have Been?

  personally, i find catholicism too weird and if followed properly, just another "cult".

  if i was not raised as a witness, i probably would have been a "home baptist" or something like that.

  what do you think you would have been, religiously speaking, if you were not first a witness?

  Well, both my parents were raised Catholics. My mom felt that relgion was major BS. If my mom hadn't found the witnesses, I might have been raised faithless.

  in a press conference this morning, jehovah god announced his intention to remove himself from association with the watchtower organization, citing "irreconcilable differences" and "personality clashes" with senior witness leadership.. "they kept on bugging me, taking my ideas and then twisting them, and then hogging all the credit!

  " said god.. "the final straw was when they told me my son had to cut his hair," said god.
