  Overt Use Of Certain Words.

  do you get hung up on certain words, so that you tend to use them more than other's do?.

  my latest word hang up (other than overt) is rumbustious.

  it has such a nice raspberry sound to it and almost describes itself by it's very sound.

  A favorite word JW's were ALL over was: glean. There was one elder who was simply incapable of using any other word to describe learning or understanding certain points.

  you know---all men just have one thing on their mind or all women are just users?

  If Your Child or Friend Told You They Were Gay, Would You Be Disturbed?

  as a jehovah's witness, you know that you cannot practice homosexuality.

  it's considered a sin.

  if your friend or relative revealed that they were gay, you would be obligated to "report" them to the elders.

  My viewpoint on homosexuality has changed allot since leaving the JW's. I used to be extrememly hateful and didn't know any gay people. Now, that I've expanded my social circle by leaps and bounds, I am far more accepting and have several gay friends (and yes, I'm a fag hag). After living in Vegas for two years, those drag queens give you some fabulous make-up tips!!! On a personal note, I'm not sure how I'd feel if my child was gay....

  I didn't get spanked. But saw others in the congregations get abused...This one little girl was only 2 years old and her dad took her to the car, pulled her diaper down and beat her. How I hate the Jehovah's Witnesses.

  At what age should JW children start going to the KH?

  did it bother you to see new born babies go to the kingdom hall?

  only a few days/weeks old, and already at the kingdom hall.

  the baby crying throughout the meetings.. at what age would it have been reasonable to bring a child to his first meeting?

  shotgun - I agree with you. My 9 year old sister enjoyed the bible school at the local church and got allot more out of it. The JW's are just plain cruel to make children succumb to that awful indoctrination. My mom was councelled by elder's wives telling her not to bring books or crayons for my brother and I growing up. She told them to mind their own business!

  woman who won $5,000 in a sex abuse suit against church must pay legal costsa woman who won $5,000 in damages after accusing the canadian wing of the jehovah's witnesses of negligence over their handling of sexual abuse has been ordered to pay the group $142,000 to cover its legal costs.

  justice anne molloy ruled monday that vicki boer has to pay legal costs to the watch tower bible and tract society of canada back to the year 2001 even though she won the case.

  No but I have decided I despise AOL

  SheilaM - AOL is quite Evil. They have terrible servers that seem to never open webpages. I switched to MSN a year ago. I like it better.
