I had NO idea about the letter to Hitler......
by Flg8ter inthis was brand new to me........did some research, like we're not supposed to do ;) and dug up crazy stuff that i had no idea about.
my whole life we were taught have bad and evil "christendom" was for trying to pacify hiter during his rise to power, and how different we were for standing up to him!.
then i found about the letter dated june 25,1933 from rutherford and his writting team to hiter.

It really is amazing! Trevor, THANK YOU for that link to Leolaia's comment. The amazing thing is again, all this information is out there!! What I really really don't get is, knowing it's out there, why would the GB mention it in a talk at a convention?? Every thing they do, every word spoken at conventions, most times are so carefully chosen.......everything they do and say at a convention, special talk,ect....has a purpose. What is their endgame....their reason for mentioning it?? They gotta know, anyone with half a brain or a lil independent thought is gonna look it up! Why mention it? Are they looking to weed out R & F that ask about it, knowing they would have to have gotten from "apostate" sites?? I don't get it........

I know what you mean......the extent of how truly bad he was, wasn't clear at that point. But, he was that bad, and yet, the spirit directed them to write that letter. Gotta put on the JW hat here........they believe angels and demons are always watching us humans...24/7 as well as God. And God can read hearts and minds......hard for me to believe that Hitler come up with his murderous plan after the letter, directed by holy spirit, was written.
I think they got caught with their pants down......and the internet is bringing it into light. So the solution is to make it a story crafted by apostates.....CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? It's the apostate smoke screen, demonizing them/us.

Then I found about the letter dated June 25,1933 from Rutherford and his writting team to Hiter. Here is one excerpt:
"The conference of five thousand delegates also noted - as is expressed in the declaration - that the Bible Researchers of Germany are fighting for the very same high ethical goals and ideals which also the national government of the German Reich proclaimed respecting the relationship of humans to God, namels: honesty of the created being towards its creator.
The conference came to the conclusion that there are no contradictions when it comes to the relationship between the Bible Researchers of Germany to the national government of the German Reich. To the contrary, referring to the purely religious and unpolitical goals and efforts of the Bible Researchers, it can be said that these are in full agreement with the identical goals of the national government of the German Reich."
Ummm....WOW!! And all this stuff is floating out there and undeniable. The power of the internet........

Letter to BOE re: baptism of my minor children
by Michelle365 inok i posted about a month ago asking for advice on writing a letter to my former congregation regarding my children.
my ex husband still goes to our old hall and although we have joint custody he is raising them to be good little jws on his time.
i understand that in your organization age is not a determining factor in whether or not a person can get baptized, however as the young people ask book points out:

Breaks my heart when kids are involved with the cult nonsense. I saw this same thing happen, firsthand. Not to me, but someone close. The child was a minor, mom is DF'd, father and his family is insane! The father's family, not as much him, love bombed and guilted the minor into getting baptized. Of course being a minor, the mom was opposed. And she was not really opposed to the baptism, she said it was the minor's choice to do so, the when minor WAS LEGAL. Which is all she wanted, for the minor to make an informed responisble decision.
Anyways, one word of warning. The minor here, was warned before hand by the dad's family.......Satan was going to use mom to try and stop the baptism. It's not mom talking, it's satan talking through and using mom!! So when mom said something...it turned into OMG you were right?!? Satan really did use mom?!?! Children's mind are so easily molded and so open to suggestion, it's scary. The important thing here, is to make sure the kids know where you are coming from. That it is their choice......when they are old enough to make such a life altering decision.
Best best of luck to you!!

Shunning family??
by Flg8ter ini was just reading and going through the newest elder book.
in chapter 5 there is a list of offenses that would warrant a judicial committee.
one of them is continued, unnecessary contact with disfellowshipped nonrelatives.

I was just reading and going through the newest “elder” book. In chapter 5 there is a list of “offenses” that would warrant a judicial committee. One of them is continued, unnecessary contact with disfellowshipped NONRELATIVES. It does not mention df'd relatives living under the same roof, which I heard in the past.
My question is....outside of the talk I saw online form the district convention, is there ANYTHING written in letters, or anything about a shift to completely shun family? Cause from the elder book, it clearly says nonrelatives.
Little about me.......a few in my family are either df'd or faded.......I'm inactive....woke up a couple years ago, but due to my wife, parents......can't make the total break yet. And the thing is......i stopped turning my back to my family that are out. I feel TERRIBLE for the past.....how I treated them cause of pressure from the extremists in my fam. That's not love and I made peace with them, asked for forgiveness and the bonds with all the ones I love are growing back.
Anyways....there's inconsistency with df'd family......just wondering if there are any elders lurking that know anything......

Help needed: JC standards/questions for "Drunkenness"
by respectful_observer ini'm hoping those of you in the jwn community may be able to help me out.
an acquaintance (of legal drinking age) may soon be sitting for jc under the charge of "drunkenness".. to those of you who have direct experience either serving on a jc, or being the subject of a jc related to the misuse of alcohol:.
- could you provide a list of questions that were asked of the accused?.
-
Flg8ter
From what I've seen and experienced, there are no set rules..it's pretty much up to the Elders judgment. Which means really.......who the "offender" is and who the "offender" is friends with or who their family is. But as was mentioned.....play the "who is accusing" card or just enjoy the door out!
