I agree with the "guilt" reasoning. I still have an occasional glimpse of "guilt" occasionally. It may just be my personality but guilt is one of my shortfalls.
The WTBTS absolutely fends on the trait.

I am sitting here trying to think of a "reply". It really made me stop for a minute and think.
For those that believe the bible is the word of God; have any thoughts been given to the man that raised the Son of God?
For those that believe the bible is a myth or fiction; have any thoughts been given to the man that raised the son of God?
If you were in this situation, real or myth, does AlmostAtheist words make you stop and think?
What about the ones that are behind the scenes? The ones left out of the limelight? Who of us, Christian or not, have thought of the father or the brothers and sisters of those that "something happens to that is out of the ordinary"? What was it like for them?
Thank you for making me remember the ones that are "behind the scenes" when "things" arise.
I need to make a phone call now; not to the patient or to the one that is sitting at the bedside constantly, but to the one that is sitting patiently waiting to catch the one that is watching. Thank you Dave.

i joined a karate class.. i go for my yellow belt test this weekend.

I am scared of my future marriage

i am watching oprah (right now actually) and the topic hits close to home.

good timing actually, because yesterday i was thinking of talking with my fiance, mike about this very thing.

you see, mike really loves kids, and we plan to have them eventually, its a very important part in our relationship (to him, mostly).

I do not want my identity to be "mother"....not at all. I do not want to be "the mother of so-and-sos kids". I want to be the best friend, the lover, AND the mother.

Jbot -
You will be "so & so's mom", "Mike's wife", "that woman that..(is alway's at PTA meetings with all the questions or coach's her kids team or the one that never comes to any school functions).
But, they will be "jbots kid", "Jbots husband", etc... as long as you remember to keep time for yourself.
I don't mind at all when i go to the store and one of the kids walk up and say "hey! Ryan's mom" or Hey! Colin's mom". Or one of the parents can't remember my name and say "hey Coach". Or my husband's boss introduce me as "Greg's wife". I have my friends and my interest so i am also Kim's best friend and "that's the woman that likes to take photo's in the rain".
Don't get so wrapped up in dividing equal time between husband and kids that you forget about yourself.
The heart does multiply.

My niece's are all peddling this crap. Yes, we are pioneering. We are serving Jehovah. We will survive Armageddon! They are 15, 16 and 17.
