  i have been on this board for around four years.

  at first i took what went on here quite seriously, well for about three weeks, but it then became quite obvious to me that the depth of role-playing that went on on these boards was so deep-rooted that it would be a foolish waste of time to do anything more than to read some of the more informative threads and delegate the rest to entertainment.

  i hope narkissos forgives me for quoting something that he wrote yesterday, but his thought clearly encapuslates the reason why it is foolish to presume that you know, or will ever know the person who is posting by what they write, and why judgments on a persons character are more than often fatally flawed.

  I spent the first 20 years of my life "faking" who i am. The only time i do it now is when i travel 800 miles to see my JW family.

  Typically i read this board to see what is going on in JW land; the "new light", to see when they are going to crack down on df'ing and da'ing and to see when it is "safe" to call my family and when to lay low.

  As far as i can recall i have not represented anything that i am not on this board. If i wanted to become someone i am not i think i would go to a different board, not one that is here to help us get out of a mind controlling cult.

  Just my 2cents.

  (I do typically type my responses in Word and do spell check; my spelling is horrible!)

  Goodbye Old Friend.......

  absolutely gutted tonight......got in from work and my sisters dog "lady" had just passed away.

  i missed her literally by 5 minutes.

  she hadn't been ill and had been out for a walk this morning as usual, when my sister came in from work she was just laid in her basket, but was barely alive, fixed eyes and very shallow breathing, i think she must have had a stroke at some point this afternoon.

  I picked up a absolutely beautiful collie today (minus her matted hair and being able to feel her ribs) we need a home for her.

  I know it is a little early for someone to take your special ones place, but, as it was stated earlier, rescue dogs love you forever.

  I would love to see a picture.

  it'll be 21 years ago since my dad died.. i remember it vividly.

  i got into work to find a message to ring my mum urgently.

  she told me he'd had a massive cardiac infarction and died at 9.30 that morning.

  Calgary -- A lawsuit that accuses Jehovah's Witnesses members of contributing to the death of a Calgary teen who refused blood transfusions cleared a major legal hurdle yesterday as the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench rejected a motion that would have effectively thrown out the case. Lawrence Hughes was rightfully named administrator of the estate of his 17-year-old daughter, Bethany, who died of leukemia in 2002, the court ruled yesterday. As a result, he can move ahead with his $975,000 lawsuit against the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Canada, its lawyers, its members and Bethany's mother.
