When I started my youtube channel I set out specifically to not be that apostate character you heard so much about in the Watchtower. I specifically tried to be non-confrontational, I specifically set out to not make any conclusions in my videos and simply ask questions. Though if you show a Jehovah's Witness my videos the whole Tough Questions thing and show them Rick's website or videos and then asked them which is a worse apostate they would probably say we're equal. Some might even say I'm worse because I put on a front of being nice (even though I have no front in my videos) while I'm really an evil apostate. It's one of those things, regardless of how you speak out you're going to be demonized for doing so. I'm of the mind the more voices speaking out the better, there is a good argument though of someone doing more harm than good.

these folks have done wonderful work and make up a vast apostate army to take on the wts and their lies, and, they do so with integrity, and respect for truth.
if you are going to point your finger and call the wtbts liars, if you are going to put yourself on the line and take up the mantle of exposing those lies, and offer criticism, you should do so from the moral high ground of integrity and truthfulness.. .

by Terry inwe treat the other differently the more we know about them.. if we meet a powerful official we act, talk and think differently while in their presence.
(rather than a homeless person, a gang member, a saleman, etc.).
how much more so this affects how we think and act concerning who we worship!.

she was told to shut up and never say a thing to anyone about what she knew.

If I'm recalling correctly Rick Fearon helps with the church called Upper Light Ministries. I wouldn't be surprised if the conference call has a higher percentage of people from that church on the call and if it turns into a preaching session for the church again I wouldn't be too surprised. The one time I called in to the show it was alot of fun. I think when ex-JWs get together sometimes we start falling in to that trap of sounding like the demon-spawn apostates that JWs always say we become. I try to avoid that kind of stuff.

i remember some time ago there was a wonderfully written website which dealt with jehovah's witness children specific type of suppression causing a higher number of very creative children than other religious forms of suppression.
i was wondering if anyone remembered what this link was?.

That's actually what the article is about, because of the outcast nature of growing up as a JW alot of the children turn inward and develop creative hobbies. It's basically a staggering amount, something like children not being able to be friends with non-JW children and the friends that they do have they can't express their true feelings to. So whether it's art, music or both many JW children turn to these sorts of hobbies to express themselves.

I apologize if this has already been covered but 15 pages is a whole lot to read through. My question to whoever is defending the blood doctrine is really rather simple.
A mature red blood cell's entire contents is hemoglobin. It is quite literally hemoglobin wrapped in a cell membrane. On top of that, anything attached to the cell membrane including what determines are blood type is anchored in hemoglobin and if that cell membrane is removed they stay with the hemoglobin. The red blood cell's entire purpose in the body is to carry oxygen from the lungs into the blood stream, however if the cell membrane is removed hemoglobin can not only do that job but in many cases it can do it more efficiently than the red blood cell. In the realm of biology a red blood cell is not considered any more "alive" than hemoglobin is.
My question would be how is a red blood cell considered more of a part of blood than hemoglobin?
I will add a slight suppliment to this conversation, when Jesus was talking about the Pharasees one of the main problems he had with them was that they added to the law. The examples he gave was the law required to wash their hands but the Pharasees added that one must wash up to the elbow, another great example Jesus used was that the Pharasees had added all sorts of classifications of what was and wasn't considered work on the sabbath. If you broke your leg you could set the bone but not get a cast, etc. Now when you answer this question about how hemoglobin is less a part of blood than a red blood cell is, would you mind trying to tie in how in this long explanation of which parts of blood are and aren't considered the "blood" that the scriptures say to abstain from you're any different than what Jesus was condemning the Pharasees for?

if he is trying to defend the majority of the doctrine why do it from outside the org?.

I like the guy, he responded to some of my videos on youtube. I think he feels he's a great apologist but when it comes down to it he's still rather typical. Still I can't say enough good things about what a cool guy he is in my opinion.

I've had mine pulled before too, take it as a badge of honor. You just submit a form to Youtube saying that your video doesn't violate what the person says it does and then you get to have youtube follow up with that person for false-flagging or whatever. Hopefully they DMCA'd you, then youtube will prosecute them too :)
