  So you have denounced the movement?

  Nope, just denounced eating Buffalo Chicken Calzones twice a week. The Vast Apostate Army is an amazing concept.

  The term "Vast Apostate Army" was something that was started on this board.

  Not quite, unless you're talking about me posting about it here. The term was coined by a youtuber named BoganLewis after watching videos by LuciousVBogeyManProd talking about taking the Watchtower out on 2017.

  why 2017 was chosen wasn't clear to me.

  It's the next time November 5th happens on a Sunday.

  They then tell me about how cool it is to have a Vast Apostate Army and how every ex-JW should join. The irony? I made the video about the Vast Apostate Army in the first place. The plus side is I guess dropping 40 lbs since being in that video really has made me look different for the person to not even recognize me.

  I guess that video had some legs to it LOL. Thought everyone here would enjoy the story.

  Why doesn't the Watchtower have official video responses to critical Youtube videos?

  youtube has the wonderful functionality of video responses.

  i have seen jw members provide some responses and even then not very many.

  why hasn't the watchtower utilized this functionality and offer offical responses to their accusers?.

  As one of the more well known Apostates on youtube and second in command of the Vast Apostate Army I guess I should respond there. I have a feeling the one thing the organization wants to avoid with their beliefs is an open dialogue. Open dialoge promotes being able to discuss beliefs and why those beliefs are held, when that happens it also promotes the always evil independent thinking.

  I can tell you if the Governing Body tried to answer my questions, they all lead down a path with follow up questions that basically shatter each core belief. If the Governing Body answers with a specific response that then leads to a follow up question that destroys their answer then the actual Faithful JWs will essentially see behind the curtain.

  It's basically a no-win situation for them, though I have to say I would LOVE to have a comment debate with anyone from the Governing Body any one from the Governing Body so I can point out all their logical fallacies and the holes in their arguments. I could die a happy man if I were able to do that.

  Heads up, the Local Needs part this week is a special talk on blood transfusions.

  a brother called me to ask who was delivering the talk at our hall.

  i didn't know what he was talking about.

  he then explained to me that this week, for the local needs, congregations across the us will have a brother deliver a special outline on blood transfusions.. .

  Why This Atheist Respects the Jehovah's Witnesses-And why other Atheists should too!

  i'm an atheist, and i'd like to take some time to talk about why i hold a great deal of respect for the jehovah's witnesses, and some words of encouragement that may put an end to the ridicule and disrespect you seem to get from, well, all sorts of people.. .

  i never gave this kind of criticism a second thought: i knew nothing about you, and i figured you were just another fringe group of christianity.

  i now feel terrible about this, and i wish to apologize for my (admittedly never spoken) disrespect.

  Why should I hold respect for that? Some Christian groups ignore the scriptures about Hell and some don't. A myth is a myth is a myth. There are 33,380 different denominations of Christianity more than a thousand of them and I'd say closer to 5,000 of them don't believe in hell. Why should JWs get respect for being one of many?

  OTWO

  The First Cause argument is more so pointing to the cause of the Big Bang. Unfortunately like when a stone is dropped into a lake we can always track it back to the source of the ripple, where the ripple started but not necessarily what caused the ripple in the first place.

  There's always arguments about God having a creator or the whole "What is God? Have you ever seen anything like that before existing? Why would you assume something like this exists in the first place?"

  However in the field of debate the first cause argument always comes to a "I know" vs an "I don't know" argument in which case the "I know" usually has it.

  As you know from my other posts I'm clearly an atheist, which holds science in high regard. I have just noticed that in this one instance in the field of debate the Theists usually get the duke.

  What was your most embarassing WTF experience with a fanatical witness??

  we've all known those fanatical witnesses who are guilty of pdf (public display of faith) and always have to make a big song and dance to the whole world and let everyone and their dog know they're a faithful witness of jay hoover!.

  1) when my mother first came in 'da troooof' this wacky, over zealous 'sister' was studying with her - you know the type.

  this woman was one of those not so subtle individuals who would always talk loud in conversation and say the name jehovah a million times even when the conversation could have been about basketball.

  Well Sinis,

  scince we gonna talk about race and catagorize folks, let me join in

  we had this one lady in the cong, who owned a bunch of cats and was

  bats shit crazy, nobody wanted her in their car, and their was another

  who picked whatever she assumed as lint off of in and everybody clothes

  I recommended she be put with the cat lady so she could pick the damn

  cat hairs to her hearts content, their was another couple with a son who

  wasn't quite right in the head and he smelled like heated piss, I hated when

  they sat in front of me . Guess what?????????

  they were all white

  You're right, most people who are like that are white.
