Does anyone have any links to sites that have all the evidence that the Arc and the Flood couldn't have happened? I'm debating someone who feels that Neandertal man was actually the Nephalim, which really I feel is quite laughable but I'll say (in typical JW fashion) whenever I'll bring up older specimens of early humans (i.e. homo-erectus) they'll undoubtedly say "that's not a full skull in this picture" when right next to it in the picture is a nearly full skull or next to that is a full skeleton...really annoying. Any links to full skulls and skeletons on the subject of early humans would be great as well.

New Evolution Book....
by Tuesday ini'm wondering why no new evolution book has come out since the last one.
i mean that was in the early 80's if i remember correctly and there's so much new information about homo erectus, neandertal and various other forms of human life before (or during if you want to get picky) modern homo sapien existence.
i think it would be really fun to see what type of arguments would be made now, obviously the original evolution book can be pretty easily debunked by current studies, i'm just curious what would be found more recently to combat the evil evolution myth.

I'm sure it would just be a more stringent view of Creationism or something.

I would like ot hear the parallel between Noah's day and this here, but probably not. I would assume that machinery is replacing people, you can do the same work with like 5 members instead of the usual 50. As for cutting down on the donations....HA, do you think the machinery fixes itself?

What could I say?

I know it sounds wierd but if you don't want to cause a stir just lie your little ass off. My Grandmother's funeral was a little while ago and I had a bunch of Witnesses pretty much corner me and ask me a bunch of questions similar; "When you coming back?" "Are you going anywhere now?" I just told them stuff like "Well I have a job where I'm working until 10 or 11 at night. Which I actually work till 4:30. Or "When are you coming back?" "Oh soon I guess, we'll see". If they didn't know I had left I would've just said something like
"What congregation are you going to?"
"I haven't been too good about it but I go to (name the nearest hall) when I get a chance, you know still trying to work on my move and also my job prevents me sometimes. You know how things can be."
They'll think you're not a strong witness, but nothing more.

Hmm, so technically this could be something like "His days should not amount to more than 120 years" therefore if the beginning of the end began in 1914 (how to continue to cling to that year, WWI and all that jazz) his days should not amount to MORE THAN 120 years, so it's 90 years...holy cow it could be any day now. Jehovah will not wait right to the end, it will come like a thief in the night, people will expect 120 but it COULD come sooner, but no later than 120 years which brings us to 2034. Showing more than one publication makes it a bit more feesable. Maybe I'm just grasping at straws here, 1975 was a bit before my time, it's high time for a new end day. There's been one for every generation, time for Generation X to get their end date

I thought you said Preaching in Drag, that sounds like a great idea. I mean as long as you either have short hair that doesn't cover your ears or a skirt that is below the knee, you should be fine right?

So there's truth, just not as prominent as say the 1975 thing then? I was hoping for something saying "This looks like the end" or something. It would be fantasmic.

I'm sure this has been posted about but can someone link me the old thread or something, I'm interested if this is still being pushed....

That's a link to an online article about 2034 being the new end date, is this still going on?

Has the Internet Changed the Way You Watch Movies?
by TD inmaybe my family is just wierd, but it's gotten to the point where someone has a laptop open almost every time we watch a movie.. typical example --- we watched cinderella man the other night..... "who's that playing braddock's manager?
"just a second...oh that's paul giamatti; you know, he was "miles" in sideways..." <snicker>.
"max baer...why does that name sound so familiar?".

God has it ever. I have a laptop now, I have no shame though I'll download movies galore. I really have no problem with this, my main reason for this is because I feel that I should be able to check out a movie before paying the ridiculous fee to watch it. A good example would be something like Independence Day, that's a movie that had to be seen in the theatre. But more recently I'll say downloading movies has helped me in my movie purchasing, if I hadn't had a chance to watch 40 year old virgin for free there's no way I would've bought it like I did last week.
