Bumping into J Dubs
by beautifulisfree inis it just me or does anyone else get that 'sick' feeling when they see a jdub?
i live in a fairly small town but i knew alot of dubs from all over the state.
i can (gladly) go months without seeing a single witness...but then sometimes no matter where i go they are all over the place.

I don't bump into anyone, but it seems every corner I turn there's a Kingdom Hall.

I woke myself up last night screaming "Jehovah"
by ButtLight ini think i replied to too many threads yesterday about demons and jehovah.
must have been in the back of my mind when i went to sleep.. i was dreaming that this ugly demon with a pointy hairy chin was after me.
i dont remember alot, but the end part.

I did that too once, but it was because in my dream I was having sex with Angelina Jolie and she wanted me to call her Jehovah. It was a good night

This does sound a bit of a red flag to me. What's the point where you start seeing the more in depth articles? Do you only read the 1st of the month Watchtower until you're baptized? Will they be studying the second Watchtower at the Kingdom Hall? It sounds a bit crazy to me, you could potentially be thinking the JW's are completely different until you're trapped in the orginization. This is a very odd thing, but it does definetly prevent the general public from reading some whack-job, crack-pot theories LOL.

If You've Faded, Do You Still Consider Yourself a Dub?
by brunnhilde ini've been thinking about this a lot, because i've chosen to fade and i would never refer to myself as a jdub, but i've read postings from others who do.
i would have written a letter a year ago but i've got older parents who are upset enough about me just not attending.
on another thread someone is also leaving and they were advised to tell the jc to do whatever, to not acknowledge that they have any authority.

My Bethel Experience Part 9
by new boy inthe the worst thing, someone could call you at bethel, was a "jack".............. as in " that guy is a real jack, he doesn't work at all".
the other term not used very much anymore, was "pot licker" used basically the same way.there has been some bad things done at bethel.
you name it, someone has done it...........but the absolute worst possible thing, a bethelite could do is be a theft!

Very enjoyable read once again. The 70's sounded like a crazy time to be in Bethel, I wonder if it's still like that. God I went to College and spent most of my time in the computer lab and the library studying, it sounds like if I wanted to get the real college expirience I should've went to Bethel.

Not to sound insensitive but I'm not really shocked at this, she'd been living off lighter fluid and heroine for the past few years, it was just a matter of time.

Name "UNWRITTEN" Rules That JWs Are Supposed To Follow
by minimus inas with the scribes and pharisees, there are a number of unwritten rules that witnesses are supposed to follow.
here's a couple : "worldly" kids in society depictions are shown quite often wearing their baseball caps backwards.
jehovah's witness youths would not want to imitate that "look".

Men and women cannot be friends.
Is this Witness-wise or is this just a statement LOL.
