  what specifically made you stop believing in god and the bible?

  was it a steady road of doubts or it was reading one book or one major event that made you realize the bible was not what it's claimed to be?.

  Don't mean to derail anyone's faith, but for me it was reading the mosaic law, and how barbaric it is. What really pushed me off the edge is how God's law is perfect, yet it constanlty undergoes major changes. That was the main reason, a bunch of other reasons aswell.

  tattoos may look great for a while on a young person, but as you get older they'll just look plain stupid.

  your credibility will fade as you and your tattoo age together.

  your skin will be permanently stuck in a timewarp, like some old newspaper headline that once meant something but later becomes meaningless.

  What was YOUR First Worldly Experience?

  while i was in florida during the spring visiting my oldest sister.

  i had the time of my life with my brother in law.. you see my sister married a non-believer and my parents viewed him as the scum of the earth, so i was terrified to ever talk to him.

  turns out he's one of the coolest people i have ever met.

  years ago, when i was studying with the witnesses, my bible studty conductor's sister in ohio died.

  of cancer as i recall.

  so he flew back to ohio ( from san diego ) to be with his family .

  Like all religions, it gives people hope, which makes them happy. It also creates a closely bonded community. Besides that, not really. The good doesn't make up for the bad in this case.

  i like so many americans left my parent's house as soon as i could (age 19).

  i would see them maybe one or two times a year for the next ten years.

  when i hit thirty and got married it was even less frequent.

  mass immigration in the world "seems" to have led to a rise in anti -semitism in the west.

  france now has more than six million muslims.. germany now has four million muslims.

  the netherlands has almost one million muslims .

  I think we're forgetting that most muslims aren't religious extremists, and harbour no resentment against anyone. I'm also pretty convinced that middle-eastern muslims (which are generally more othodox), may hate jews because the Zionists esentially took Palestine from them.

  so recently i've been preparing to move out of my parents house, and i've been seeking social assistance.

  at my appointment, my social worker asked me for references to people who know about my situation at home.

  i know probably nnone of you guys know me too well personally, or my home life, but i know all of you guys have been through similar situations.

  So recently I've been preparing to move out of my parents house, and I've been seeking social assistance. At my appointment, my social worker asked me for references to people who know about my situation at home. I know probably nnone of you guys know me too well personally, or my home life, but I know ALL of you guys have been through similar situations. I'm not quite sure how many of you guys left the truth at a young age, but you guys still know what life as a JW is like. So I'm wondering if any of you guys will be willing to help me, and get in contact with my social worker. It'd really help a lot, and I would be extreamly grateful. Thanks
