  They really hammer obedience to the rooming arrangement at the local meetings leading up to the convention. They emphasize that obedience in little things means obedience in bigger things.

  Work prevented me from attending our assigned district (regional) convention so I arranged my schedule to attend in a different city/weekend. I know that's not a problem, brothers and sisters do it all the time. What had me praying for forgiveness was when I picked a random hotel near the convention center, not knowing whether or not it was a Watchtower approved location.

  
  

  Turns out it was - but they had no more Watchtower blocked rooms available. I took one anyway.

  
  

  Nadab and Abihu. I couldn't get the picture of those men being destroyed for offering up illegitimate fire before Jehovah. Oh how I beseeched Jehovah to forgive me for staying in that room, thinking all weekend how I'm probably wasting my time here because God HATES people who do not follow the direction of the faithful slave.

  we all know that jws think that the world hates them and take it as a badge of honor.

  like all their beliefs they don't just come up with these ideas on their own, they come from indoctrination through the jw publications.. here's what they are being taught in their may 2015 watchtower magazine.

  The Amish have concluded that they are objects of hatred because THEY are the true followers of Jesus, and as such they wear that hatred as a badge of honor. It never occurs to them that the negative attention they receive has anything to do with their handmade clothes, horse and buggy hot rods, funny beards, oddly religious, non-violent life styles.

  
  

  You can tell JWs all day long the real reasons why they are treated as outcasts by society, the fact that it is not really a "hatred" per se... but it will never get in.

  Will there ever be another campaign like the 2006 one with kn37 ("The End of False Religion Is Near!")?

  remember the 2006 tract campaign with kingdom news 37 - the end of false relgion is near!?

  it seems to me that jwdom has changed to the point that there will not be anymore such campaigns.

  it seems that the new rebranded jwdom is too soft for such a campaign; it's too feel-good, happy-clappy, and mainstream.. i just can't imagine a tract campaign like that coming from the new jwdom.

  Are these Kingdom News pamphlets not the product of the "trumpet blasts" of Revelation to be delivered by a swarm of "locusts" for the purpose of "tormenting" the clergy?

  
  

  The only clergy I see shaking in their boots right now is the Watchtower clergy, withdrawing from their in-your-face-edness toward other religions.
