Why do you stick to the 2 witness rule from Deuteronomy 19:15 when the same book of the bible in Deuteronomy 22:28, 29 it says that a woman that was raped has to marry her rapist and you don't follow that?
This question will backfire as there is a New Testament version approx. the same.

Will there be a Service Meeting part on how to handle sex abuse questions?
by Zoos inevery week there is some sort of demonstration on how to offer the latest magazines or monthly offer.. will hq prepare the flock for the inevitable flood a questions about the abuse scandal or will the poor sheep be left to navigate that field on their own?.

I guess it is a bit of a rock and a hard place. They can't broach the subject without looking guilty, but if they say nothing a lot of people are going to get railroaded out in the ministry. -

Contacted by Royal Commission today
by umbertoecho infirstly, thank you to anyone who is in support of this rc.
no one has shown anything but great interest and empathy for those who were abused.. i don't know who this simonsays character is though and i find him to be very rude and ignorant.
it takes all kinds to make the world go round i suppose.. today i was contacted by a staff member of the royal commission.

Have you ever shunned anyone after leaving the borg ?
by Clambake inthis isnt particularly a jw question but if anyone knows the world of shunning it would be ex-jws.
i have a friend who about three years ago had an abortion and i havent been too friendly with since that happened.
i havent said anything or done anything rude to her.

The only way shunning really comes into play would be toward a family member, friend or workmate - people with whom you might otherwise have regular contact. All my family and friends shunned me when I left Watchtower.
That leaves workmates, and yes there have been a couple of real @$$%&!$ that I'll have nothing to do with. But unlike the JW system, I don't practice a total cutting off. I just choose not to associate. It's a pretty loose arrangement where they don't like me, I don't like them... no reason to seek each other out for companionship. We still work together professionally and respectfully.

Just wrote my DA letter....
by dubstepped inmy wife and i planned on fading but the elders now want a shepherding call and we are just done.
i know that many play the game to try to stay in, but i'm not a game player and neither is my wife.
our families already shun us because we reached out to a disfellowshipped family member.

This topic has me thinking about bounty hunters.
If a country like Australia were to summon a person from the United States and the person ignored the summons, short of requesting extradition, which is unlikely to be granted in a situation like the RC ( I think - maybe wrong), would it serve any beneficial purpose to hire a bounty hunter to snatch the summoned as he traveled to a country more conducive to being picked up?
The whole scenario is probably completely improbable and not worth the time and effort of the RC. However, such a threat could seriously limit the movements of the GB, preventing them from venturing too far from their imperial palace.

For those of you "not baptised" and too afraid to front the RC. WT is hoping you won't come forward.
by umbertoecho inhello to those following what is going in australia with our royal commission.. i want to let all those abused, neglected, shunned and blamed that i understand why you may not front the rc.
the wtbts is hoping you will consider yourself an invalid complainant, because you are not or were not.....baptised.
if you were abused at a young age and you told on your dad or the bad man that did it.......you would have been taken aside by the overseer and read scriptures about lying and being immoral; even if you didn't know what that word meant.
