when i joined the jw's many years ago, i couldn't get over how many were working in the cleaning business.
i know this permitted them to go to the meetings, out in the field service, and work without any conflict.. where did this trend start?
is it like this world wide?
Because it is easy for them to 'Saty clear of the world' and have their own cleaning business.
Besides, it is hard to get a job when you have no acedemic qualifications, as the Watchtower has stripped them from you. Some Witnesses just can't see the woods for the trees.

Tony Blair was invited to the White House, where he was due to meet Geroge Bush and his administration.
He was unpacking in his room, when he hears a knock on the door
'ROOM SERVICE ! '
'Yeh, ok, hold on' Calls Tony.
'ROOM SERVICE !' the voice calls again
'Yeh, one second' shouts Tony
then he hears yet another knock
'ROOM SERVICE !' the voice calls out
Tony gets agitated, and runs to the door and pulls it open.
'ROOM SERVICE ' The man says.
'WHAT IS IT ?!? ' Asks Tony.
'NO, ROOM SERVICE, CAN YOU TAKE THIS TO GEORGE IN ROOM 303.'
Tony follows orders well...

as the survivor of a sexual assault that occurred when i was 10 and a few years later under the guise of treatment help, i have always found it difficult to describe the fury of emotions and self-assessment that followed the crime.

What an amazing thing to write. You have touched me today more than any other post I have ever read on this forum. Most of the time, If I see quite a long post, I will refuse to read it in its enterity as I simply get agitated and want to move on to something else, but your words cultivated me to read the whole post today. If my memory serves me correctly, I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting you, my friend. We all learn from each other in life, and I have learnt to feel your hurt, If only slightly in comparison with the way that you quite obviously have felt it over these past hard years for you.
We all have problems in our life, Lord knows I have had problems in mine, yet they seem to pale into insignificance compared to the obvious grief and pain you have felt. I am nobody to even touch on what you feel; all I can do is encourage you and thank you. As an earlier poster comented, your words serve as your honour. Be strong, this life is hard. You can be safe in the knowladge that whatever happens, your life and words will be remembered, not only here, but I am sure amongst those that love you.

nearly everyone that posts here says mostly negative things about the witnesses.
a few will speak of certain jw's that were helpful to them while they were going through difficulties.
in the situation that you find yourself in now, do you feel that you hate jw's?

I do not hate JW's, I hate their religion. It would be foolish to hold something against somebody that knows nothing about the real truth.
The Witness mentality is what I hate, but it is just something that their 'spiritual superiors' have introduced into their belief system without them knowing it. I hate the Watchtower , not Jehovah's Witnesses.
