I preached the 'truth' to an active JW, her jaw is still on the ground!
by BLISSISIGNORANCE inwell, the best thing about being a fader is that you can still talk to dubs you meet.
they think they can us the contact to upbuild you and you use it to plant the seeds of 'truth' which is what i did in this situation.. last week when i was at the markets i saw a sister shopping and although i normally avoid dubs, i didn't this time.
i said hello and she was very happy to speak to me.

I remembered that I once bought a botle with chocolat-liquer (Droste)
When it is still available, I think that would be the best choice for chocolat party
and by the way, I am in too. -

Of Posting, Children and Other Things
by Big Tex inin the light of day, and over a nice cup of tea, sanity returns.
the problems which once seemed so big are reduced to their correct proportions, and i am left feeling more than a little embarassed over my role in the events of the past 24 hours.
i didn't realize i had a drama queen buried inside waiting to be activated.

Big Tex,
I did read Jenny's topic and your's defending your daughter and I think you are NOT over reacting.
Your decision not allowing Jenny on this forum anymore is fully understood - the forum is a bit to "mature" for her.
I am only afraid that she, now she has 'tasted' she wants more, even with the few unpleasant reply's.
She seems to me pretty smart for her age.
When Lady Lee start a Kid's Forum, that would be the solution.
Give her a hug from me and I hope to be still on the board when she is old enough to come back here.
Regards, Branda -

Designating The Kiddies
by Valis ini was thinking today that it would be usefull and most definitely appropriate to have some kind of designation for an underage user here, besides the birthday thing, which obviously could be used and abused by someone.
i was thinking maybe a small icon .
sincerely,.

I agree, when the parents permit a child posting here, a 'little something, like an icon' would be very easy to know immediately there is a child involved.

How much do the holidays mean to you?
by freedom96 ini grew up a witness, so therefore of course i never had any of the holidays, though i wanted to do them badly.. i left in my mid- twenties, and was single for quite some time.
during this time, there never was really any need to celebrate any of the holidays.
so many of them were meant for families anyways, and all mine were far away.
-
Country_Woman
I am not special celebrating the holidays.
As for X-mas I don't like the idea getting stuffed with food, but I certainly enjoy the free days off work (2 days here).
Gifts here are given with Sinterklaas = 5 December, complete with rhymes and in surprise wrapping, especially nice when there are children.... -

"Naturist" Beaches or Parks
by RubaDub inhow many here have ever been to an "au natural" beach or park ??
did you enjoy the experience ?
***** rub a dub
-
Country_Woman
I did visit the "nude" part of the beach (20 years ago) and it was quite 'natural'.
No peeping eyes or something like that. In fact it's feels to be 'free'
Would still go to that part of the beach - when I should go - but now I am only making long walks and am dressed for that.....
I am no longer sitting there..... -
