This is very true Flying, U2 totally discovered a sound that remains timeless. I think one of the reasons for this is that they refuse to be identified with boy meets girl lovley dovey lyrics. It's their meaninful lyrics and original sound that make them in my opinion the best band ever.

What Was The Attitude Toward Men, Women , Children & Elderly In Your Hall?

we had some interesting views toward these groups.

we had a number of intelligent strong minded sisters in our congregation.

they were "in subjection" to the elders.

Unless you're part of a popular couple or a single pioneer, there are alot of lonley jehovah's witnesses and I mean alot.
These lonley ones rarley get visited and are expected to make it to every meeting and service but they are rarley visited or included in social gatherings.

Wow that happend in my congregation as well. I can't believe it.

Have you ever been asked by witnesses if you have the internet?

being inactive, not going to meetings, and having the internet is a nice combination.

the last time i went to a meeting, a brother asked me if i had the internet... first of all, it was none of his buisiness, so i answered, "do you have it"?

he said no.. i know elders who do have the internet, so what, big deal... so, it's ok for elders to have the internet and not ok for non elders to have it?.

It reminds me when people used to ask, "do you have cable"? as if by asking this they want to know how important personal study and bible reading and leading a "simple life" is to you.

And of course the only ones who ask these stupid questions are the ones who don't have these things. Thinking by not having them they are more "spiritual".

I can't stand those stupid toilet fillers!!
