What are the feelings/thoughts within 24-48 hours of exposure to an undeniably true (for you) TATT?
by NeverKnew inmany of us know where we were during 9/11 or when john kennedy and martin luther king were killed.. it seems that when faced with ttatt, real truth is dismissed as "ol' light" or "an imperfect group of men" but from what i gather, many of you, at some point, were hit with a component of ttatt that shattered all of those cliches that allowed you to brush off the obvious reality that something was very wrong.
some of you may remember the hours following your earliest exposures to an undeniably true tatt.
did you zone completely out?

Nervousness.. shock.. bewilderment.. feeling betrayed, confusion, disturbance.. anger.. vehemence... disgust.. disillusionment.. more anger.. feeling lost..
uncertain, guilt.. anger again.. indifference.. calm.. frightening sense of new freedom.. new feeling of control.. liberty.. peace.. Detachment.. acceptance..
Relaxation. Release.
A growing Zenlike serenity and a willingness to let it all go, that it's ok to be uncertain and no longer have a need to control everything and just it 'be'.
Grateful.

Sorry to hear this. Lost myt mother to cancer not too long ago.
Right nutrition has a profound effect. Patients who take control of their daily choices are in better shape to fight cancer and respond better to treatment.
Eat more:- Egg whites
- Legumes (lentil beans, check peas)
- Seeds
- Nuts
- Good fats (olive oil, flaxseed oil, fish oil)
- Cold water fish (wild salmon)
- Whole grains
- Cruciferious vegetables (broccoli, cabbage)
- Berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
- Green tea
Avoid:
- Dairy products (promotes inflammation and mucus production)
- Red meat (iron supports cancer cells and too high in bad fats)
- Processed sugary foods (promotes inflammation and fuels cancer)
- Bad fats (trans fats, saturated fats in processed baked goods)
Sugar can give cancer the upper hand.
Studies that suggest breast cancer patients who add exercise and cut out processed sugar are able to keep their insulin levels under control and cut their risk of recurrence in half and decrease cancer death by two-thirds.
Cancer cells are glucose guzzlers. Think about this, the way a Petscan works is by introducing glucose into a patient to see the cancer cells that would divide more rapidly because of the glucose. There are many studies that show in various cancers that show as you increase blood sugar levels, you speed up growth of cancer. In fact the survival, response to treatment the outcomes are all clearly associated with the ability to maintain or lose control of sugar levels and its impact on insulin."
Patients try these things before chemotherapy:
- Take two 500 mg capsules of ginger root 15 minutes beforehand
- Exercise for 15 minutes an hour before treatment (walk, ride bike)
- Check vitamin D levels in advance (simple blood test)
- Take fish oil (anti-inflammatory)
- Take curcumin (anti-inflammatory)
- Sit outside in morning sun for 15 minutes

Mac Book Pro with Retina or Dell XPS 15? (both with new Haswell processors)
by Simon ini've been in need of a new laptop for a long time.
no, i mean it - a really long time.
the old dell that we have has a floppy lid and is woefully underpowered although it does build up my upper body strength every time i pick it up.. the last 6 months has been a bad time to buy something new though with the haswell processors on the horizon promising better battery life and also screen technology seems to have been leaping ahead recently to a new hi-dpi standard.. so apple finally released their mac book pro and at the same time dell has released an xps 15 ultrabook which looks like a pretty good alternative and probably better 'value'.. pro's and con's?

A not so loving phone call....
by new hope and happiness ini recently got a letter in my pillar box asking me to attend a meeting at the k.h.
i ignored the " kind" request.. this was folloed up by a " loving" phone call with the question " do i believe in the organisation" my reply.
" anyway what pissed me off was during the " loving" phone call i realized there was another " brother" listning in.

I too agree that there is a graceful way to leave that religion. With honesty, dignity and courage. At the end of the all you really have is yourself and what that's worth. Don't trade that by being fearful afraid and weak and skulking arond like a worm. If you can not be true to your own self then what are you? Sell yourself out and you will have nothing and be nothing. Well said New Hope and Happiness.

Good for you. Did he actually say that another person was listening in to the call? Or did you hear them?

What allows parents to shun their children ?
by man in black inmy son, went to college and got his bachelors degree.
he started his own anmation company about two years ago, and it really has taken off.. while my wife and i were witnesses, we both received grief about allowing our son to go to college, but we stood up for him and backed his decision to attend 110%.. anyway, this past week he finally closed on a very nice, neat condiminium .. and while he is getting ready to move out on his own, i have quite a few feelings of sadness,as a parent, seeing him move on is kinda rough, but realizing that this is a very good thing for him makes it easier.
he will only be about 7 miles away.
