I would never bother with anything on FaKebook. It's a fake place to have fake friends.

Might be a long wait.. you can't change your email, your own password, edit your profile, you old posts, your avatar, you can't delete your personal sent or received messages, you can't change your avatar, in fact you have no control over anything in this forum at all. You can't do anything really. You also can't even get answers to questions.
For that reason many have decided to just creat whole new accounts and abandon old ones. Makes complete sense.

Jws are not supposed to be NATIONALISTIC....right?
by stuckinarut2 inso, 'we' as jws are not supposed to be nationalistic or promote individual countries or cultures over another....isn't that correct?.
so, why do witnesses love to have "international" conventions where we see delegates all proudly wearing the stereotyped clothing of their native lands?.
arent witnesses supposed to be part of gods nation, separate from the world, speaking the "pure language"?.

There is a difference between displaying culture and displaying nationalism. Nationalism can contain all that nasty negative politics.. culture can be a simply a colourful dress or a skirt made of grass.

Thanks FatFreek for the reply. I don't seem to be able to change my registered email either which might be a problem as I have now deleted that account.
Admin here does not seem to respond to technical support too often so I guess new account creation it will have to be then.

Yup..
Walked out the week before the 2013 memorial. Deprogramming going very very well. Do I miss any aspect of it? No. How can you miss what is not real.
Any regrets? Only a few. That I allowed the Witness 'education program' to utterly destroy any possible faith in any and all other religions, religious teaching or lifestyles and that they have single-handedly all but entirely caused me lose faith in the Bible itself and didtance me from God himself.
That I allowed their system of thinking to cause me to hold off on getting married and having children. There is the possibility that the second part can shortly be remedied.

I was "totally" stopped in my tracks by an "atheist" comment.
by booker-t ini must admit i can at times be a little "egotistical" when it comes to knowledge and the bible.
i have studied the bible for so long and have always had a passion for the bible as a jw and as an ex-jw.
i guess that is all i have left when it comes to religion and as humans we do tend to stroke our egos.

I'm actaully tyign to see it outside of my mind for a change.
None of use can reall answer as none of us were there. We don't know do we.
But it does remind me of when I read for the first time in the Bible how the Israelites went into cities and were told to completely wipe out all the inhabitants. Men, women and children. I thought that to be extraordinarilt cruel. Untill later is was dosciovered what the inhabitannts of these cities were up to, human sacrifice, child sacrificce, bestaility, canibalism, hard core demon and spirit activities.
I'm trying not to be so quick to judge these days.. and that includes judging God of which I have no right.
