First of all hello.
It's a great honour to be disfellowshipped for speaking and presenting the truth as you have done in this beautifully constructed letter.
Thank you for sharing this and I hope you don't mind if I keep a copy.

it's been quite a while since i lasted posted anything on jwn.
i was in hiding previously, but only because i wanted to avoid the shun gun until i had the opportunity to tell my former congregation what i think about the org./gb.
i last attended a meeting over 2.5 years ago but it wasn't until june--when i earned my bachelor's degree--that i finally had the time to collect my thoughts and get them down on paper...i decided to write my letter in a style i felt would be most appealing to my target audience--jw's still under gb mind control --in the hope that at least a few would read it and actually "think".

i have met a few nice guys but remained strictly platonic, and also met some really pushy guys too that just wanted sex.. i have not met mr right yet, but who knows what the platonic guys could evolve into.. it's all a game and anyone who says they don't play games when dating is lying.
does a man always have to make the first move?.
stumbled on dating sites by mistake
Hahahaha yeah right!! It takes a whole lot of time to register, wait for your confirmation email, log in, pay with your bank details, write a detailed profile about yourself listing your likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies, your looks and describe what your looking for in a potential companion and then upload photos of yourself and then familiarise yourself with their messaging and browsing system. That's some colossal accident!
PS: You have made all the first moves already by putting yourself on those dating sites and going through that entire process. It's not quite like meeting someone at the bus stop. lol. That right there constitutes a very big first move.
You go girl!!
the dreaded phrase i will never miss!!!.
some of the ones i had to hear ,.
we cant go over grandmas... till after the meeting.
Getting disfellowshipped.. not till after the meeeting.
last month, my best friend of four years and boyfriend of six months came home from a jehovah's witness convention.
he'd been acting strangely the entire weekend and i knew something was wrong.
i initiated a discussion and he said, "essentially our relationship is wrong and i'm not supposed to be with you.

even though watchtower's application has been rejected, they will be allowed to use the logo because it is for religious usage and will not be confused with commercial products.. the trademark office did note this:.
indeed, numerous other marks are registered reflecting the letters j and w:.
The org tried to avoid that negative decision. They changed their attorney in the middle of their application: Jan. 29, 2014

But they failed.
The reason I gather they were refused is that they have no product.. they are not selling anything. They have no commercial product. They need no trademark as they have nothing to 'trade'.
SPECIMEN MUST SHOW USE OF MARK WITH CLASS 16 GOODS
Registration is refused because the specimen does not show the applied-for mark in use in commerce. 15 U.S.C. §§1051, 1127; 37 C.F.R. §§2.34(a)(1)(iv), 2.56(a); TMEP §§904, 904.07(a). Specifically, applicant has applied to register the mark for use with printed materials. The submitted screenshots do not show applicant’s mark in use on printed Class 16 goods. Rather, they show the mark on a website where downloadable magazines are available. However, these electronic publications are not Class 16 goods. Rather, applicant must show the applied-for mark in use on printed materials, or in the ordering of the printed materials, as discussed in greater detail below.
Applicant may respond to this refusal by satisfying one of the following:
(1) Submit a different specimen (a verified “substitute” specimen) that (a) was in actual use in commerce at least as early as the filing date of the application or prior to the filing of an amendment to allege use and (b) shows the mark in actual use in commerce for the goods identified in the application or amendment to allege use.
(2) Amend the filing basis to intent to use under Section 1(b), for which no specimen is required. This option will later necessitate additional fee(s) and filing requirements such as providing a specimen at a subsequent date.
For an overview of both response options referenced above and instructions on how to satisfy either option online using the Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) form, please go to http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/law/specimen.jsp.

I'm not so sure waiting for a man to make the first move is such a great idea. I have met many women (even in the hall) who have told me that they are in love with some guy or brother and have been for years and years!
"Why don't you say something?" I asked..
"Oh noooo I'm waiting for him to say something to me!" was very often the reply.
I have seen these situations again and again and many have gone for years. Only to end with said man being snatched by some other woman who was smart enough and bold enough to express herself and make her feelings known.
It's really quite simple. If you want something.. go get it. If you like someone.. go get them. Or forever hold your peace.. or aching heart as the case may often be.
