hahahahha going up up up.
the new yearbook is finally on jw.org.
That's just nuts...
Hiiii..
not sure when i came to this conclusion but i can't imagine living forever.
after a while i think i would be completly bored with everything.. not saying i wouln't like to live for a few hundred years or maybe even a few thousand if i could travel through space and discover other universes star trek style.
but the thought of living forever sounds like it would eventually become a complete drag.. maybe i'm wrong, maybe after a thousand years or so you would foregt all the stuff that happend at the beginning and just start over in an infinite loop..
Oh I don't know.. I'd certainly like to give it a go. if finally having a real relationship and direct connection with God is anything akin to DMT I imagine it could be quite blissful.
they just put up the march km 2014 on the private website.
most of it is same-old-same-old, with info here and there about the memorial.. somebody here might post the march km for all to see, i wont.. i just wanted to share the paragraph from page 2 q&a anticle: will you seize the opportunity?
upcoming memorial enables us to show gratitude .
Was it not them that said: "Witness children get presents all year round.. not just at Christmas".
It follows than that one can show love and appreciation to Jesus all year round and not just on memorial day..
spinning off from another thread, have jesus' teachings been less than universally helpful to mankind?
how do we measure if a particular philosophy is helpful or harmful?.
i am going to use the "universal morals" listed here.
Sorry I forget this is the wrong forum for my kind of questions.

Having said that I have never ever been able to find or connect with Jesus either. What a mess..
When people speak of having a relationship with the above what do they mean exactly? What is it that others seem to be finding that I am not?

For me the words and teachings of Jesus are what put a humane, compassionate and loving face to the personality of God who previously to me was only about wrath, anger, rage, punishment, fury, fear, judgment, destruction and death.
The 'sermon on the mount' took me from being a terrified 17 year old to actually thinking that this God could possibly even be a decent character and was the beginning of me developing a liking and appreciation for him that is still quite very much alive.
I say 'liking' for God.
However having never really being able to realise a real living day to day relationship with this elusive God in over 30 years of trying has had it's own consequences I'm sad to say. But that's another story.
Seems a case of I like God but maybe God does not like me.
jw thinking is an act of evasion.
the unstated premise that problems with the truth will go away if only you refuse to identify them.
thinking is an active process.. evasion is avoiding that action of active thinking which would create a positive difference.
My awakening came in 2 phases with a very long interval between. I have in the past fallen pray to components of 1, 5, 6 and 7. Since the final unhooking of myself from that man made religious straight jacket, these disabling, paralysing and imprisoning behaviours very quickly disintegrated from my life.
Did you ever try this frankie?
