A friend of mine sent nullification of baptism letter, stating he was too young (13) when he got baptized to really understand what he was doing. The elders didn't announce anything, they just let it drop. If you were baptised young, perphaps you can try that. Username: Balsam1 can give you assistance in writing one.

In a tight spot.......and unsure what to do!
by Redneckgurl ini have not posted in several months..........way too much emotionally for me to deal with everything, since my family is all "in the truth" and i am the black sheep
well here is my dilemma.........we are going to celebrate halloween with the kids on friday
there are several in the congregation who still call me to do their hair.........i don't want to do it anymore, but don't know how to tell them as many of them are elderly and i love them dearly.......i don't want to hurt them, ya know?

Karaoke Contests - Rant
by Nosferatu ini've just recently entered into (another) karaoke contest.
i've been in quite a few, but have never placed first despite the fact that i can usually wow an audience.
the thing is, i've mostly seen women win these things.

I agree. Around here, only kids and family memebers or long lost family friends win them whether they can sing or not.
Maybe you should get a Slash look alike to play air guitar behind you. Seems like the wilder ones get the prize so be animated even if you can't shake your boobies. Then again you could choose a redneck or biker bar. Rednecks and Bikers don't appreciate Whitney Houston anymore than you do and they love a little GNR.
I hate "I will always love you" as well. Does anybody really like that song? Must be the same people that think Celine Dion is so great.

Att: ex-Elders and Their Kids: Did You Really Have a Regular Family Study?
by Room 215 infriends, this is a sort of poll, directed mainly at -- but not limited to --ex-elders, their wives and kids.
it was my impression that, with the possible exception of meaningful personal prayer, the other aspect of the idealized, exemplary jw lifestyle that was portrayed at the assemblies and at meetings-- the regular, weekly family bible study -- was the one most neglected.
it seemed to be something the ``other" spiritual family did and the one thing we constantly agreed we ``needed to work on.".

No. We tried several times, but something would always come up at our scheduled time and we would forego it.

Try Yoga, that combines your exercise and meditation. You may also want to look at your diet. Eating too many sugars or drinking too much caffine can really make you lethargic when you crash. Look up energy foods on the Web and try incorporating them into your life. Glad the depression is over, but being unorganized is something we all deal with. We all have bouts with lack of motivation as well. Like I get home I am tired, I don't want to clean the kitchen but it is nasty, so I tell myself ok, you can rest but only if you clean during the commercials. It seems to work for me. Find some kind of medium.
Best Wishes.

Do You Tend To Give People The Benefit Of The Doubt or Do You Judge Quickly
by minimus in.
how would you rate yourself when it comes to making judgments of people?
do you try to give the benefit of the doubt or do you tend to make a quick judgment against another without considering all the facts?

I go on gut instinct. If something tells me, be wary around that person, I automatically judge them as someone I don't want around. I go the other way too, usually if I like somebody and have fun with them, I liked them immediately when I met them.

The first thing that caught my attention when I walked in the door was three contribution boxes built on the wall. One was for local contributions, the second was for cash or check contributions to the WTS, and the third was a genuine credit card machine that accepted VISA, MasterCharge, and American Express for direct contributions to the WTS.
Surely you gest? Is this for real? I have never seen any credit machines in any halls. Then again I live in the south, we are behind the times.
NOS, you REALLY got disfellowshipped for a Poison Album? LOL!!! Which one? Look What the Cat Dragged In, what was I Want Action and Talk Dirty to me to much for them? God, that has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
