  Thank you so much for helping make Fred's surprise party a success. What a beautiful and thoughtful gift you gave him. Once we got back to the house, the first thing he was find the "perfect" spot for it. He is so proud of it.

  And another thank you for such kind words...I don't deserve them. Aw Shucks...I'm just as pleased as can be that the surprise was a success. I wanted to make Fred's birthday a time to remember and with all y'all's help...I did. He's a great guy and I wanted him to have the best time.

  We'll all get together real soon!!

  i was going to post my personal story, but right now it feels good just to know that i'm truly not alone.... what an incredible bulletin board... using the search feature i just finished a week of reading up on alcholism, codependency, abuse, personal testimonies (and very empathetic replies), bpd, dysfunctional family systems, oh, jw's and their male-dominate, bride-selling, hypocritical policies brain-washing techniques.. 2 1/2 years ago, at the age of 39... a lady friend at work suggested i read up on codependency... i had no idea what she was talking about, and remember thinking "i don't have problems, look at you... your a mess".

  anyway, i knew i didn't feel ok and decided to read a book.

  i had just finished college and had some free time to fill.... denial is absolutely wonderful... kept me safe for quite a few years.

  I'm so glad y'all were able to come out and join us in COMF's birthday celebration. The BIG Five-0! (book 'em, Dano)

  I hope y'all got pictures and they will be posted soon. He's a'chompin' at the bit to see pictures. Lawdy help me when he gets his mind set on sumthin'!!

  It was great to meet y'all. I had a wonderful time and I think COMF did too...but he'll have to tell you himself.

  have you ever done a good deed for a stranger and then after, just felt odd about it for some reason?.

  today i got off work a few minutes early and went to pay a bill then go to the grocery store.

  but, as i was on my way to the store, there was an older man standing under a tree trying to catch my attention by waving a rolled up bill(s) and motioning for me to roll down my window.
