  Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts about the troubles I've had the past 5 weeks. As I told you (and you told me) this too will pass...and it has..finally.

  I'm off on a romantic getaway this weekend so I'll be out of pocket till Monday. A nice road trip in the Miata letting the road take us where it leads.... Gotta love it!!

  How the board has helped.

  as an artist i try to create emotional responses through abstruct paintings.

  sometimes an element of pain or hurt i felt is represented on canvas and the pain or hurt is then gone from inside me forever, but remains for ever on the canvas and i hope is felt and understood by the viewer.. i wish i could do the same with the written word so that i could really make myself understood to the reader.

  the same was true when i started painting, what i painted was oftern poor but because i was always encouraged by people who never mocked my terrible efforts but concentrated on the positives i developed emotionally as well as an artist.. i think the same is true of many on this forum they have been hurt by the w.t.

  Welcome. I'm so glad you're here. I would love to see your paintings. I guess each of us has a way to release the pain. For me, I call it "making beauty from chaos". It's been ages since I painted but now the release comes in a variety of packages. I'll cook...I'll sing Broadway showtune at the top of my lungs (theatre major in college)...I'll craft something...hell..I'll re-arrange the furniture...whatever helps. But, occasionally, I'll sit down and write out my feelings. Just let the words flow from your heart. We'd love to hear your story.
