Taking a blood transfusion is a worse sin than committing suicide
by EndofMysteries inaccording to this news report http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-27292918, a jw cut his wrist but was caught before he died.
if only a blood transfusion will save his life, he is refusing based on belief as a jw and is supported on that, including his jw father.
it's funny many religions put suicide as a really bad sin, but in this case it shows on jw standards taking blood is worse then suicide.

In Watchtower convoluted theology the major JW sins are probably in this order.....
1. Becoming an Apostate.
2. Taking blood.
3. Probably suicide.
4. Probably celebrating holidays or your birthday.
5. Probably smoking.
JW's are not allowed to acknowledge that pedophiles exist in their religion so being a pedophile probably wouldn't make the top 10 list of major JW sins.

Strike 3 for the elderette and me! (???) I never heard a JW talk SO much about Jesus!
by Faithful Witness inmiss k and her friend miss w arrived promptly today.
our scheduled topic of discussion: jesus' claim to be "the way, the truth and the life..." john 14:6 since she was basing this topic choice on the fact that i had quoted that verse, i'm not sure why... she spent what seemed like a very long time, hopping through scriptures that all said that jesus was the truth, the way, or the life.
ok, so we agreed... i kept waiting for her to get to a point, or sway from this principle.. of course, she summed up with scriptures that show how jesus submits to the father, and what does that mean we should do?

Nothing but theocratic warfare bait & switch. Talk alot about Jesus in the initial phases of the Jehovah Witness cult indoctrination to make people think it is the true Christian religion, then get them to the Kingdom Hall and see how often Jesus is mentioned.

Are GB problems increasing or is it just better communication
by joe134cd ini was just wondering the other day if the gb problems are getting bigger (e.g law suites, financial, scandals)or is it just a case of they have always been entangled in some kind of drama, but with communication been what it is, it's now a lot easier to find out about them more quickly.

There are more problems because the cult is being more exposed by the internet. Time has expired on this Doomsday cult. The 1975 scare, then the time between Eve's creation, then this 1914 generation will not pass away before the end beliefs have all expired and proven to be false. The doctrines make no sense now. More & more good, smart people have learned the truth about this cult, woken up, and gotten out. This cult has many problems ahead.

CO is chasing me . Meeting him tomorrow.
by Ancientofdays inthis week is the "special week", co is back.. he phone called me this morning asking to meet together.. i replied "i don't refuse people who want talking to me, but my condition is that you must be alone, and we meet in public space.".
he agreed and we will meet tomorrow in a cafe.. .
this week he already met with my wife in the kh, and he told her "i believe your housband is apostate !!

Good luck. I'm sure you were pissed when your wife came home and told you what that asshole CO said to her about you in the KH. Good move getting him alone and away from the KH. Will be interesting to see how this turns out. Please post the outcome. I would be tempted to ask him if he told my wife he believes you are an apostate. If he confirms he said that to her, tell him that is just plain rude......then dump a beer on his head and walk out sticking him with the tab. LOL
When I was in I never took any crap off outrageous JW elders. One idiot young elder came to my house to to argue something stupid. When he raised his voice and pounded on the table, because I didn't agree with him......I kicked him out and asked him if he wanted to take it out in the yard. The look on his face was priceless. LOL Right before I stepped down someone told me the CO made a snide comment behind my back about me talking to a DF'd mother asking how her young son was doing. I was furious! I called a meeting with him and ripped his ass good. He pulled the "you can't talk to me like that." LOL
