Possibly. They are masters of mind control and spin. Anything negative is spun as Satanic lies and an attack. Most JW's eat it up and believe it.

WT lawsuits - Gog of Magog - Coalition of Nations - Courts of Law - Bankruptcy
by truthseeker inwhat if the society know it only has to lose one big case to lose a whole set of cases on precedent of the first case?.
this means they will lose millions of dollars in lawsuits and settlements.
which means their financial stability is under threat.

I think the Watchtower will try their best to avoid anyone from the GB from taking the stand. If it's anyone, I surmize it will be an older member who is in declining health, then they will use his health status as a delay tactic. From a human standpoint, they could let Anthony Morris III take the stand since he evidently may have served in the U,S. military prior to becoming a JW, and may even have lead a somewhat normal life before. Watchtower lawyers may think he is their best bet to relate to the jurors. Either way the Watchtower is screwed. There is nothing any GB member can say to defend their pedophile protecting policy, and the more they talk the wackier the JW religion will sound.

That is great and I'm sure it looks nice. Nothing at all wrong with it. Part of breaking away from the JW cult and enjoying life. Have a good time leading up to Christmas.

"Jehovah is really blessing our family! Thanks for your visit"
by stuckinarut2 inso i am being hounded by the elders who are staring to get suspicious about our "slackening off in the truth".
rather than being railroaded or pushed into a defensive or argumentative situation, i am keeping the following comment up my sleeve:.
"jehovah is really blessing our family life.

When elders visit, I like the idea of hounding them....FOR MONEY.
Elders: We've missed you at the meetings.
Stuck: I've had some unexpected expenses and have had to work a lot lately. On top of that, now I'm tired on the weekends and some depression is setting in.
Elders: Coming to the meetings will solve all your problems. (or some BS to that effect)
Stuck: That's all well and good, but if any of you elders on the body had a spare $10,000 you could do without.....at this point in time would really go a long way in freeing up my time for the meetings.
Elders: Errrr....Jehovah will provide. Ok...well....we need to go now.

Anthony Morris III... Did he really serve in Vietnam? Something doesn't quite add up...
by Calebs Airplane inborn in 1950, he apparently became a regular pioneer in 1971.. but wait.... let's just say that he enlisted (or was drafted) in 1968 at age 18.... depending on the branch of service, he would have to complete anywhere from 2 to 4 years of service.
yes, duty in hot combat zones was usually limited to 6-months at a time but you still had to serve a total of 2 to 4 years depending on the branch of service.
assuming he only served 2 years, he would have been 20 years old and discharged by 1970.... how did he get witnessed to, complete a book study, become an unbaptized publisher, get baptized and then become a regular pioneer in less than year???.

However, the Watchtower Society's practice of using aliases for some of their prominent people does interest me.
I don't think that Anthony Morris III is who he claims to be. When this thread was still active, I wasn't a member yet on this forum but I did find the above photo that I posted, connected to a twitter account a while back, that was registered to a 'Joseph Parisi'. The photo of Joseph Parisi is defintely a look-alike younger version of Morris.
.
It could be something like this. He use to be Joseph Parisi, then became A,M. III after he was born again as one of THE JW 144,000. (something like Saul because the Apostle Paul) Anthony Morris III is his chosen Jehovah Witness pope name.

Alphaman: the only person in her immediate family thats a jw is her mom and she is very old. her husband (not my wifes dad) is ubuer dubber but setting a bad example with our family right now. on my side no one is in. if she saiid right now i am not ever going back, i would not be hard. and BTW: I don't speak to no one at the hall. no go out on service. maybe once a month for a coffee break. LOL
.
GTTM.......you are already mentally out. Need to get out completely and quit wasting life in this ridiculous cult. Sounds like it really wouldn't take much to get your wife to join you in leaving. I'm sure your kids would be thrilled.
For me....I was an elder, but seen some crazy mixed up crap that made me finally reason that there is no way an intelligent creator of the universe would only use this dysfunctional group of people with their wacky beliefs as the one true religion. The fact that my children were at the age to where I could still give them a normal childhood was the deciding factor in me just walking away. That was 19 years ago. Leave now while you can still give your kids a normal cult-free childhood.

This forum has been racist of late - BOTR
LOL....I just come here to laugh at the liberal lunacy that hating the ideology of the Islam religion is equated with racism. Only a hypocrite would be a member of an X-JW forum and state this. I think the Mormon religion is a bat-shit craxy cult also. Tell me.....what race am I a racist against with this thinking?
Good grief....the things that are said here against the little insignificant JW sect, and the lengths the liberals here will go to to sympathize with the Muslims.

The next day we were at the store and the halloween costumes on sale. we bought him one. and when i say we...both me and my wife.
.
That's awesome. I think your wife is very close to waking up and joining you in you both leaving this life sucking cult. As one poster mentioned on your other thread get her to read CoC, and get her to visit sites like JWfacts and such. I look forward to reading about your exit with your family. I know my kids were extremely happy when I made the decision for us to walk away. (19 years ago- LOL)

we have been together for a very long time and most of it was as non witness..celebrating holidays and living life.
.
What keeps the 2 of you from just leaving the cult? Is there other JW family members? You are posting here, don't want your kids baptized, and obviously have figured out the religion is a sham. Your wife doesn't sound like an uber-dub. Just walk away and get back to enjoying life. Your non-witness family I'm sure would love that.
