  a flash mob is defined as a large public gathering at which people perform an unusual or seemingly random act and then disperse.. jws are now in on the act and were doing this in bath on unsuspecting convention delegates during their tours after the convention.

  Can you imagine flash mobs and the wave being done in the late 70s or 80s or even the early 90s? The brothers in charge would have levelled some pretty serious counsel at the rank and file for the unrulyness of it all and treating Jehovah's house of worship as some kind of studio or play ground. How is a bunch of adults flash mobbing any different than a bunch of kids playing on the stage? The underlying motive treats the place of worship as some kind of social centre or music hall. I find the latest trends in the organization extremely disturbing as it basically undoes everything we've been taught growing up and shows it as a bunch of lies and double-standards if this kind of behaviour is tolerated. If I was there at this assembly hall fiasco, I would have got up and walked out. I find it very disrespectful.

  Nicely worded and you hit the nail on the head. That's the point for most of us. We are just shocked at how this is so easily acceptable now. The whole religion is proving to be a lie. The changed teachings & beliefs, the changed policies & procedures, the changed social standards....all A BIG LIE!

  Why were no sea creatures destroyed in the flood?

  all the animals on earth were destroyed in the flood of noahs day apart from those in the ark ,apparently no sea creatures were destroyed in the flood , why is that ?.

  this is not an issue that only affects jehovahs witnesses , it is one that affects all beleivers that accept the bible as gods word.. obviously sea creatures were not put on the ark , no whales ,no dolphins , no fish , no krill , no plankton etc.

  you can fill in the rest .. so my question is , why were land animals / birds singled out for destruction ?, what wrong did they do to deserve this judgement against them .

  So many things to think about when you start reasoning on the Bible flood account. The 40 day change in water salinity would have been devestating to sea creatures. It's obvious the flood account was an embellished local flood event.

  My favorite reasoning on the flood and no evolution belief is if all animals to reproduce were on the ark, and the ark landed in the Middle East, how come some animals are only found in Australia and nowhere in between the Middle East & Australia? Why would kangeroos only hop from the Middle East to Australia without any proof they existed in the lands between? After that it's a long kangeroo swim to Australia, and I guess the Australian great white sharks don't eat kangeroo. LOL

  this last monday we got a letter from him telling us how unloving we are because we are no longer jw.

  Hang in there ADD. There is always hope they will wake up. Be loving and mention your hope to them in your letter. If they don't wake up the odds are that your grandkids will be out by the time they turn teenagers, so there is hope there of a future relationship with them. Only JW's cannot see how the Watchtower is a family destroying cult.

  With that many elders of a body removed it's got to be 1 of 3 things.

  1. Rampant know wife swapping among the elder body.

  2. Open Satan worship among the elder body.

  3. Failure of the elder body to send Crooklyn their money.

  In Watchtower world follow the money. These guys probably seen where they would eventually need their own money, and they stood united against sending it to Crooklyn.

  China is "officially" the #1 world power?

  LOL.....bullshit. I must have missed this major news announcement. LOL The US/UK alliance is still the MAJOR player in world affairs.

  China only has a major economy because the world uses them to make cheap crap to buy. Militarily China is still not up to par with the US/UK military. If any major confrontation took place China would be taking on both the US/UK military. China is only where it is at because they let the US/UK have military dominance, and don't waste lot's of money on supporting a worldwide military influence.

  Anyone that knows Chinese people, is involved with the Chinese community, or works with Chinese people soon learns that being the #1 world power is the last thing on their mind. They are more than content to let the US/UK get involved in militarily policing the world, while they save money not being the world military police, and keep raking in the money selling the cheap crap they make.

  after a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.

  let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .

  I have to say, I was originally an Obama supporter but he has been a let down. He does seem less than presidential lately and appears to be taking sides and causing more divisions than the president of ALL Americans should. Far too polarizing.

  I have to say, the national guard are a disappointment - what are they meant to be doing? Has anyone sent them?

  I wonder what the plan is - are they just protecting vital locations or reminding people that they really should want some police around?!
