  It's utterly ridiculous, but then, the closer you get to Genesis, the more the Bible seems like it was written by the Brothers Grimm.

  I can see that you are running off into OJ Land again. Once you start using infinitive axioms (is that the right phrase? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but you know what I'm trying to say) to support your logic, the logic just falls apart. God him/herself is an extremely convenient infinitive axiom in arguments for religious people, because every single question can usually be answered with a nice little: "Oh, God is almighty, therefore even this completely preposterous miracle in Genesis must have happened as it's laid down in the Book!"

  How exactly did the Isrealites eat locust fecal matter (that AFAIK is what 'manna' is!) for 40 days? Wouldn't YOU get a bit pissed off if you had to do that for 40 days? Also, how were their dietary and protein needs addressed? Probably thanks to the Magic of God (for which there is absolutely no evidence).

  Awrgh.

  I think you need to give the Skeptic's (sp?) Bible a good going-over, especially the first 3 books of it. Things will improve shortly after that.

  any lengths for a JW girl?

  i've been seeing this shy girl for about 6 months and we've fallen completely head over heels for each but the thing is she's a jw.

  her father is bitterly opposed to our relationship and when i tried to ask his permission for his daughter's hand in marriage, he said no, not until i get a 14 incher.

  i was devastated cos i loved her so much and she was the only woman that really understood me.

  If you're for real, find yourself another girl. Dub chyqz have caused many men on this board endless grief, so don't become another statistic. Instead, go out into the world and find someone who can look at it without blinkers on, someone who can think for themself. I guarantee you will have a better relationship with this person, because A) their religion won't get in the way, and B) you'll be able to do all sorts of naughty things to each other without either party feeling guilty about it!

  or if u pefer your text to be paper based rather than pixel, try the book ' hermaphrodites & the medical invention of sex', by alice domerut dreger (1998)... i seem to remember an australian transexual who had been male & a jw and who finished up in the uk.... wrote a book if i remember correctly!

  That's actually something that would probably be very difficult for a Dub to handle (considering the extremely limited, black & white viewpoint of their main text, the Bible) - is a hermaphrodite and abomination before God? Would the hermaphroditic person have to wear a dishcloth on their head if they wanted to say a prayer at a bookstudy? Would the hermaphrodite be disfellowshipped if they didn't scream while being raped with a gun to their head? Would the hermaphrodite have to show submission and sit in puddles of mud and stuff? Who is the head of the hermaphrodite - Jesus or the Elders or his wife? Or his/her husband?

  Yet another reason why the Society is destined to fail, this.

  today, a coworker finished reading my d.a.

  letter i have prepared, but not sent yet.. part of my recovery from the damaged caused from membership in the cult has been to be open and honest as to who i am, was and what i was involved in.. so i gave him the letter to read, and he gave it back today, two weeks later, and said:.

  "i told my wife, if they ever come knocking at our door, tell them to leave, and if they won't, call the police".

  Well, where I currently live there's no chance of any Dubs coming to the door - we have 2 security guards, and knowing Dubs, they won't try to enter our "rich man's palace" here in Johannesburg! They'll just 'witness' to the guards and then go onto the next house. Nice & easy field service, never having to speak to anyone except a bunch of security guards who are so bored even watching paint dry is more entertaining than what they do for a living.

  Thank God I live here.

  I don't know what I'd do to Dubs if they came to my door I'd make sure I was basically undressed first (if they were women - if they were men, I wouldn't do it, there's no point). Then I'd give them a piece of my mind (thx BTW to all the ppl on this site, you've given me enough cannon fodder to last for YEARS!)

  That would send them running, and my house would get a cool little red CROSS on their card - you know, so nobody witnesses here again. Sweet. Maybe I'll help the next tenants that way too!

  when is a nutter going to get his revenge on the society?.

  there are plenty of psychos out there who have become jw's.how long will it be before someone who has left the org and is mentally unstable is going to get revenge on the society?.

  i think the gb should be worried for their lives, if someone gets into bethal with a gun or a bomb they could get blasted to smithereens.. i know it has happened at least twise.a bomb in a kingdom hall in austrailia and i think a fire in korea that killed a lot of witnesses.. but think of how violent the us is compared to a lot of countries and how easy gun accses is there.. it may not be a question of if , but when.
