"Keep testing if you are in the faith" Just like a Doctors visit??

a thought came to mind.. often when we awaken to the "truth about the truth", jws will ask "what made you start questioning things?

they act as if we are doing something wrong by questioning facts.. but, the scripture at 2 cor 13:5 clearly says "keep testing whether you are in the faith, keep proving what you are".

so, this implies regular checks of our faith, and all we believe to be true.

If you don't keep testing you become a brainwashed drone.

It is like going to the Doctors for a regular check up. We may not feel sick, but we go regularly to ensure all is ok with our health. In the course of that check-up, we may be made aware of something. Do we just ignore it and say to ourselves "well I felt fine last time, and I dont need to give attention to this issue!"

i recently had a discussion with a jw concerning a change in wording of a scripture - in fact this was my all time favourite scripture, namely, micah 6:8.. my view is that the wtbts have deliberately changed the wording and meaning of the said scripture.

the other person is of the opinion that that is not the case.

I personal believe JWs are so heavily brainwashed no one will leave until they themselves are ready.

Just wanted to say ; about one of your comments about learning to hug and say "I love you", I too learned this from "worldly" people.

This was one of the biggest eye-openers that I learnt from "worldly" people.

Pretty sad when we were raised in the most loving group of Christians in the world!
