I think Iis2cool's "Wet Spot" thread was by far one of the funniest!

new years is almost upon us and hell has frozen over, oops, i mean the seahawks have stumbled their way into the playoffs.
its time to set our mind to a get-together!
seattle area and those who can travel easily to seattle, lets put our heads together and decide on something mutually acceptable!
I'm up for anything as well, let me know when and where. Savage and I are willing to drive
.
with all the events that happened in 2003, what will you remember most about this year, let it be on the world scene or in your personal life?
2003 for me was filled with wonderfully happy times and horribly sad and painful times.
I found this forum april of this year, went to my first apostafest and have met so many kewl people!
I got married in September in Las Vegas
My 21 year old brother died earlier this month

my jw girlfriend was here for coffee this morning, and gave me the assembly report.
her husband told her not to tell me one thing because it would give me "ammunition", but of course she told me.
there were no baptismal candidates.
Sounds totally miserable. God, I hated that place.
You said it!!!
Remember what the assembly hall looked like way before the first remodel?? all those orange and green seats and orange carpet, that was full of static! does anyone remember that miniture they had of Noah's ark near the front doors? I cant get those orange and pukey green colors out of my head! ack!

wow, i used to go the assembly hall in Puyallup. so no more seats in the very back that face the cafeteria? wow, those seats were a lifesaver when my daughter was a little baby. I guess they want to make sure everyone is paying attention to the speaker

Gretchen, it would be great to meet you! my husband and I both live in Seattle and are planning on hosting an apostafest during St. Patties Day in March. You are more than welcome to attend.

Adam,
There are so many people here that can empathize with you and are here to offer you support when you need it.
Hang in there, i felt the same way and at times it does get easier. Here's a link of a previous post written by Jgnat just for Newbies like yourself, lots of great info.

alright i understand that this board is full of non-believers, maybe you believe in evolution(which btw i hate very much) or maybe you are a atheist.
and another thing i notice is that this board is very much against the jw's.
anyway i might be only 22, but i know and i understand more things in this world than half the suckas in this world.

You got the stink on you and everybody can smell it.
well, the clock has hit midnight, and all the christmas music that has been so prominently played on the radio, has come to an end.. it's now, at least here in eastern north america: boxing day, december 26th.. christmas, is over.. how was it for you?.
how do you feel, now that it is over?.
for those who are celebrating either again, post-jw, or the first time post-jw: how was it?.
Well the kids are tucked in bed, and Savage is playing x-box (us adults get to play after the kids are asleep)
All day yesterday this is what you would here at my house:
Mom, can we open our gifts now? no..
How bout now? no
How bout now? no
Now? no, wait till tommarow!
ok..... just one gift? pretty please?
So Christmas Eve we each opened one gift
This morning the the living room was strewn with toys and wrapping paper,
we got our six year old daughter a bike among various other things, and she's already broken it in, ( the pink and white tassles have already fallen off of the handle bars). Our son played his new x-box games pratically all day
I've enjoyed christmas and I expecially enjoy the time off, so now Savage and I are just relaxing and enjoying each other
Savage and I have a toast we always like to make:
Here's to warm friends and good food and fine wine
cheers! and Merry Christmas everyone
