  hello i'm kaz and i'm new here.. i was a jw for nearly thirty years, i felt like a "lame duck" when i left, but now i have got a life at last!.

  i guess that some parts to the cultish religion are hard to shake off.

  Thank you all so much. Just last night, I was feeling guilty. So many stories, and so much pain. Best of all, so much freedom....

  I cannot agree more - god will not judge us on making 5 meetings per week, and field service. Man-made rules.

  tolerance : the capacity for or practice of recognizing and respecting the opinions, practices, behavior or beliefs of others.. sadly, there is a double standard on this board practiced by many.

  i have had a spat with stinky pantz about tolerance and we have both apologized.

  this defintion is here for the others who think that tolerance is something that only christians don't have much of!

  Hmmm..
  This is the internet... and people can say / believe what they want. The definition of right is pretty obscure, and you can argue till the cows come home, and go through six keyboards doing it. If I had someone who continually harassed me, I would just ignore them. If I couldn't handle it, I would just leave. It's only the internet, and not an actual kingdom hall.

  a person i know, has a child, who is barely a teenager.

  he just gave a talk in the hall, and guess what the topic was?.

  i can understand a bible reading at that age, etc.

  I would love to see a talk where a teenager boy talks about mastrubation. If that ever happened I would drive half-way round the world to see everyone squirm in their seats.

  Of course, the brother would call in sick before doing that.... however, nobody knows the strange mentality of them.....
