No. Not bitter at all, really. More like totally relieved. I am still upset about the whole thing - but not bitter. I would be a whole lot more bitter if I was still going to meetings, having to deal with brother and sister nuts.

I wish there were more JW's here!

Pity, JW's.
Your all gonna die at armageddon for posting here, so WTF?
You already believe that the above statement is a lie.
Yet you still continue with the WTS.
If they knew who you were, you would be gone faster than Oprah on a baked ham.
(Bri - just needed to get my Jerry springer comment in - Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo!)
Something to think about, all of you? I only tell you because your posting here makes you hypocrites. You are not true JW's.

I am stunned and horrified that you have to go through this. Thank god you have such good friends here that can help you. I am just sick about this.

Three Things Witnesses Will Admit
by metatron inso, the organization never makes any mistakes, the elders are appointed by god, you should attend all the meetings.
because "it's the truth", blah blah, blah.. .
in my experience, as long as you're not too aggressive about it, there are three serious problems in the organization.

Excellent Post! I have to agree.
I went to the WT society thinking that it would be a cure for my depression. READ: weak person believed half-truths. Well, it not only made it worse, but put me on the verge of suicide many times because and only because of guilt. The WT organization believes in attracting these kind of people to have a crutch to stand on. Just look at all the weirdos at any kingdom hall, and ask me how many of them are normal? Maybe 5% at most.

Jesus Disfellowshipped?
by shamus indid you know, for those of you who try to talk us back into your "religion" that you are assosiating with apostates????
did you know that you are going to die at armageddon for questioning the wts and coming to this website?????.
you can either confess your sins to your elders, and live, or keep quiet, and die.

One more thought for me -
Don't you think that the talk in the bible about "not even eating with such a man" would refer to someone who would purposley go to a church, kingdom hall, whatever and scream out obsenities, etc.?? That is probably what they meant when they were talking of shunning a person, and for good reason. If they repent, then they are allowed back in.
SOJ - thanks for the update on my status of savior. It really helped me with some questions about who I really am.

Compare Your Personality Now As Compared When You Were A Good JW
by minimus ini often think of how certain posters were in the old days when they were true believers.
you know, people like francois, farkel, ozziepost, hillary, alanf and so many others.
most of these people come across as very astute and persons that are nobody's fools.
-
shamus
Actually, Minimus, that is very typical from a psychological view. Seriously. Most people who act like that have very little self-esteem.

LOL, Mulan.
I was just like you, too. We could have been friends, had coffee, and gossiped with everyone else in the congregation about all their misdeeds and how certain ones were "bad assosiation". I am still pretty ashamed of that.
Now, I feel that I am much better personality wise. I no longer walk around like we are the best people on the planet - and everyone else is below us. My self-esteem, which was in the dumps is vastly improved.

do you believe in karma?
by SpiceItUp inwe have all heard the cliche' "what goes around comes around" but do you really believe it?.
i know this person that for many years has been unkind, devious and vengeful and then over more recent years has had bad luck everywhere they turned around.
i mean one thing after another.

shamus
Of course -
You reap what you sow.
What goes around comes around.
Same thing.

"You Should Not Even Eat With Any Such Person".
by Englishman inexample 1. ray franz was disfellowshipped for being seen eating a meal whilst sat at a table with a disfellowshipped person.
example 2. i was recently told by my customer's jw secretary that she was sorry but she could not make me a cup of tea because it was against her witness principles to drink / eat with a df'd person.
yet, i think i understand now what the scripture at 1 corinthians 5.

Aren't JW's the most brightest stars on the planet? Who would want to eat with someone like that?

Why are Canadians envious of Americans?
by Oroborus21 inthe whole discussion on "america" made me wonder the above.. by the way the war of 1812 wasn't against canadians but against the brits and won by americans after the battle of new orleans--which inspired one of the funniest lines in folk music, penned by jimmy driftwood and sung by the great johnny horton:.
..."we fired our cannon 'til the barrel melted down.. so we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round.. we filled his head with cannon balls, and powdered his behind.
and when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind.".

We are just having some fun -
Whoever started this forum, I hope that you don't feel bad. Us Canadians don't take ourselves too seriously, and can laugh at ourselves.
