Actually, I quit about 7 years ago. I never, ever really researched / found a website that was anti-JW. I always felt alone in the world, and the only people whom I knew about were those freaks who scream and holler at district conventions with their faces all red, SCREAMING. Bleah.
I guess that its up to me to deprogram myself from the feelings of guilt, abandoning my faith, and abandoning those idiots whom I never really gave a red rats fart over.

I really really studied hard when I first went into the borg. Currently, I have on order Crisis of Conscience, and am looking forward to reading that. I think that I just need to see how dumb things really are in the borg. Like I say, any friends that I still have are only in the religion for their families; nothing more.

Are you still a bit intimidated by the WT's B.S. about armageddon, and how only they are going to survive?

for those of us who left organized religion, how does it make you feel when a xtian says they will pray for you because you don't believe the same as they do?
personally, in my opinion, that is a very obnoxious statement, especially if i don't ask or want someone to pray for me.
to me, that's saying that i am wrong and they are right, and they are praying to god that i will see things their way.
I tell them to pray for themselves - I'm too far gone.
have you ever made that comment based upon your observations?
what attitudes or behavior would merit that statement by you?

You say that you have no-one. I am sure that some people in the UK will be responding - try making a new post, asking anyone. You'll probably get more results that way.
I have a link to a message board - www.unknownnetwork.com They are based in the UK, and are extremely friendly bunch. They have get-togethers every now and then, but I warn you, and anyone who wants to go there that it is absolutley non-religious.
I post on that board lots under the name bri, so if you do decide to go over there, I'll be happy to chat with you on the message board.
Again, my heart goes out to you, and the horrible abuse that you have and are still suffering at the hands of those people who have no natural affection for one-another.

okay, maybe i'm getting old or maybe it's because i have been an exjw for going on 10 years now, but i can't remember what's up with jws and mother's day.
i remember my mother going with another sister to my brother's classroom for some mother's day pageant back in the 60's when we lived in alaska.
there is also a commandment in the bible about "honor your father and your mother.

Single mom who raised us two kids the best she could, and I choose not to even say "Happy Mothers Day" to her. Shame on me.

Yes, he does.
However, this is a board with many people whom have had their lives terribly damaged by this religion, and it would be strange not to have persons feel this way about the religion.
Believe it or not, I still support many beliefs about the bible, brought to light to me via the WT. And, lots I don't.
I hope that you still keep posting here, Oroborus. Differing beliefs are good!
